I was looking the auction's result at Pebble Beach through Gooding & Company and I saw this 1978 BMW 633 CSi with this unique green color (I like the name of this green : Amazonitgrün Metallic).

This car had something, nope ? And only sold for $US 47,300.

History of the BMW 633

In the 70's, BMW wanted to compete with Mercedes-Benz with light race cars but also large and comfortable for the Autobahn (German highway). To solve this dilemma, BMW hired the French designer, Paul Bracq (known for Mercedes-Benz W114/115).

He was able to design a spacious road car with taut lines like the BMW 3.0 CS. The perfect compromise. In America, at this time, only one model was available, the 633 CSi presented in 1977.

The 633 CSi is well preserved with its original colors Amazonitgrün Metallic (Amazon green metallic) with fern Green leather interior.

Stunning classic German GT.
