People tend to think other people are just “lucky” when something good happens to them. Or that they become successful because they have some magical advantage over someone else.
While it is true that some people have a few advantages, I also believe that:
“Luck is the residue of design.”
Some Steemians may have seen my score in last nights post:

Did I find the little gold nugget because I am “Lucky?”
Maybe.
But I think it had more to do with something else.

Here are the posts that I am able to find of me trying to find that little gold nugget:

What point am I trying to make here?
It is not that someone should go buy these gold bars in target. Please dont do that!
It is not that I have cracked the code for winning these games. I haven’t!
It is not that I made a profit by finding this gold. I certainly did NOT!!
The point that I am trying to make is that I was determined to find gold, and I wasn’t going to stop until I did ( I might still not stop lol).
The best I can tell it took me at least 20 of these sand bars, 4 months, a few hundred dollars, and a risk of Mrs. Goldmatters wrath to find the nugget. Thats not counting the “diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and sapphires” also purchased.
I do feel like there is a lesson to be taught here.
Why did I keep buying these bars? It’s not because I am a gambler hoping to strike it rich. I definitely lost money on this and knew that I would.
The reason I kept buying the bars is because I knew I would find what I was looking for eventually. How did I know this? Because this isnt the first time I have wanted something and not giving up until I got it. I know the receipe and its pretty straight forward.
If you want something, just keep at it. Don’t listen to others, and don’t give up.
Make your own luck.
Good luck everyone!
