Late Night Indoor Mining with Goldmatters

One hour later......

After blogging about treasure hunting for gold in target, there was no way I could fall asleep knowing what fun awaited me!

I tossed and turned for an hour, then by candlelight sneaked out of bed careful not to wake Mrs. Goldmatters to do some Late Night Indoor Gold Mining!

There was no way I was going to do the same mining I did a week ago. Too laborious!

I had a trick up my sleeve that @goldfashioned taught me.

I stockpiled my ore:

Filled up this bowl of water:

And mined first for rubies:

Then sapphires:

Emeralds:

And GOLD!

I ended up with this weird soup of colors.

This sophisticated technique yielded instant results! The sand losts its structural integrity quickly and turned into this:

I pulled from the sand these fantastic stones!

The pictures don’t do them justice but they are very attractive in person. While I didnt find any precious stones I did find:

Pyrite, obsidian, rainbowstone, rock crystal, and new jade:

Totally worth it and so much fun!!

While I did not find any gold today, anyone reading today this can “mine” STEEM by singing Karaoke to me. The song is Band of Gold.
