The first light of dawn cast long shadows across the city park, a place where Thomson's memories were as tangible as the mist that clung to the grass. He and Ricky sat on a bench, the letter's words echoing in their minds, a chorus of hope and uncertainty.

Thomson: "This is where I taught him to ride his bike, right over there by that old oak tree. This is the heart of the maze, the center of everything."

Ricky watched Thomson, seeing the iron-clad man of action wrestling with the resurgence of a decade's worth of pain and longing.

Ricky: "He'll come, Thomson. He has to."

But as the sun climbed higher, doubt crept in with the warmth. The park was waking up, joggers nodding as they passed, dog walkers untangling leashes, but of Thomson's son, there was no sign.

Thomson: "We're missing something. It can't be this straightforward."

Ricky pulled out the previous letters, the maps, the photographs, and they poured over them once more, looking for the clue that would unlock this step of the odyssey. And then it hit them — the heart of the maze wasn't a place; it was a time.

Ricky: "The old oak tree... It's not where, it's when. The longest shadow, the heart of the maze, when the sun is directly above."

They positioned themselves, watching as the sun's arc brought it to its zenith. As the shadow of the oak tree pointed like a dark finger across the park, a figure emerged from the direction it indicated.

A young man, his stride purposeful, his eyes searching, stopped before Thomson. The years fell away, and for a moment, the hardened bounty hunter was once again a father.

Young Man: "Dad?"

Thomson stood, his voice a hoarse whisper.

Thomson: "Son?"

The reunion was a thing of fragile beauty, a tapestry woven from threads of loss and love. But as they embraced, the young man's eyes met Ricky's over Thomson's shoulder, a silent message passing between them.

Thomson: "How? Why now?"

Thomson's Son: "I had to be sure you were ready, that you had followed the path laid out for you. That you understood."

The park around them seemed to pause, the world holding its breath.

Thomson's Son: "There's a storm coming, Dad. And we're at the center of it. You, me, him..." He glanced at Ricky, "and them."

The episode closes with the sound of approaching footsteps, the crackle of radios, and the sense of impending confrontation. The maze had led them here, to this moment, and now the true test was upon them.

To be continued...

Who are the 'them' Thomson's son refers to? What storm is on the horizon, and how will Thomson and his newly reunited son face it?

In Episode 11, the layers of the past are peeled back to reveal the core of the mystery, and Thomson must confront the reality that the hunter's odyssey is far from over.
