If you have ever visited my blog, you will have noticed that I love art and crafts; in fact, it is one of the things I focus on the most here at Hive, sharing this art that I am so passionate about. However, it wasn't until a couple of days ago that I resumed my sculptures and shared with you the figure of a dragon.
I remember that the day I started making this figure I realized that I didn't have enough materials to make sculptures or other crafts; I had almost nothing in fact. So, today I woke up with the intention of buying some things to, as the main image of the post says, replenish my inventory.

Si alguna vez han visitado mi blog, se habrán dado cuenta que me encanta el arte y las manualidades; de hecho, es una de las cosas en las que más me enfoco aquí en Hive, en compartir este arte que tanto me apasiona. Sin embargo, fue hasta hace un par de días que retomé mis esculturas y compartí con ustedes la figura de un dragón.
Recuerdo que el día en que comencé a hacer esta figura me di cuenta que no tenía suficientes materiales para hacer esculturas ni otras manualidades; no tenía casi nada de hecho. Por eso, hoy me levanté con la intención de comprar algunas cosas para, como dice la imagen principal de la publicación, reponer mi inventario.
In my city there are several haberdasheries and stores where you can find materials to make crafts. There is a new one that I had not visited and I am not a regular customer, so I decided to visit this haberdashery to see what I could buy.
The store is small but the truth is that they have a lot of things that I really liked. The first thing that jumps out when you enter the place is the pile of ribbons they have, both to decorate and to make bows.
En mi ciudad hay varias mercerías y tiendas en donde se pueden encontrar materiales para hacer manualidades. Hay una nueva que no había visitado y en la que no soy un cliente habitual, así que decidí visitar esta mercería para ver que cosas lograba comprar.
El local es pequeño pero lo cierto es que tienen un montón de cosas que me gustaron mucho. Lo primero que salta a la vista al entrar al lugar es el monton de cintas que tiene, tanto para decorar como para hacer lazos.
Personally I really like this kind of ribbons, because I did a lot of crafts and pretty things when I was in high school. I used them a lot so I was quick to ask the price of each of these ribbons....
I also found a lot of tools that are used for different kinds of work, from sewing to molding to painting.
En lo personal me gustan mucho este tipo de cintas, porqué hacía muchas manualidades y cosas bonitas cuando estaba en el bachillerato. Las usaba mucho así que me apresuré a preguntar el precio de cada una de estas cintas...
También encontré muchas herramientas que se usan para distintos tipos de trabajos, desde costura hasta moldeado y pintura.

It is worth noting that although they do not have paints for the most demanding, they do have different colors to choose from. I remember I used to buy a lot of toys from Chinese brands like transformers, power rangers robots or gundam mechas.
They were very poorly painted figurines but the plastic was good so I would buy several and paint them with this type of paint. Sometimes I found metallic colors, so I made some pretty cool stuff with very low quality figurines. In the end they were damaged, but well I got to have a lot of Chinese figures customized by myself.
Cabe destacar que aunque no tienen pinturas para los más exigentes, sí tienen distintos colores para escoger. Recuerdo que antes compraba muchos juguetes de marcas chinas como transformers, robots de los power rangers o mechas de gundam.
Eran figuritas con muy mal pintado pero el plástico era bueno así que me compraba varias y las pintaba con este tipo de pintura. A veces encontraba colores metalizados, así que hacía cosas bastante geniales con unas figuritas de muy baja calidad. Al final se dañaban, pero bien que llegué a tener un montón de figuras chinas personalizadas por mi mismo.
One of the things I should not forget to buy was the sweet wire that I normally use for my figurines. Sometimes I find copper wire in old equipment that some people throw away, but I usually buy this type of aluminum wire that is soft and easy to handle to make the skeleton of my figurines.
Although that is my use for this type of wire, the truth is that it comes in different colors and its use can be very varied. Certainly you can do great things with this type of wire.
Una de las cosas que no debía olvidarme de comprar era el alambre dulce que normalmente uso para mis figuritas. A veces encuentro alambre de cobre en equipos viejos que algunas personas desechan, pero normalmente compro este tipo de alambre de aluminio que es suave y fácil de manejar para hacer el esqueleto de mis figuras.
Aunque ese es el uso que yo le doy a este tipo de alambre, lo cierto es que viene de distintos colores y su uso puede ser muy variado. Ciertamente se pueden hacer cosas geniales con este tipo de alambre.

I also found a lot of ornaments and little things that are used to decorate the nails, besides rhinestones. I don't usually use these things but I had a good time looking at all the little things they had.
También encontré un montón de adornos y cosillas que se usan para decorar las uñas, además de pedrería. No suelo usar estas cosas pero me entretuve un buen rato viendo todas las cositas que tenían.

Something that really caught my attention when I got to the store was a bunch of flowers and bows they had all over the display cases.
I really like these things. I remember when my cousin was born, I made lots of bows and ornaments for her using things like that, like fabric flowers and very cute bows. I also entertained myself by looking at all these things and added a couple of flowers to my "shopping cart".
Algo que me llamó mucho la atención cuando llegué a la tienda, fueron un montón de flores y lazos que tenían por todas las vitrinas.
Me gustan mucho estas cosas. Recuerdo que cuando mi prima nació, yo le hice muchos lazos y adornos para ella usando cosas así, como flores de tela y lazos muy lindos. También me entretuve viendo todas estas cosas y añadi un par de flores a mi "carrito de compras".

Currently in the HiveDiy community there is an active give-a-card contest. I was a little disappointed not to have a piece of cardboard at home, so I went out to other stores to see what cardboard I could find.
There was a lot of variety, even some yarn cardstock on which I'm sure you can make some very nice drawings. I will buy some later, when I decide to resume my practice with painting...
Actualmente en la comunidad HiveDiy está activo el concurso de regala una tarjeta. Me decepcionó un poco no tener ni una trozo de cartulina en casa, así que salí a otras tiendeas a ver que cartulinas podía encontrar.

After a couple of hours wandering around various stores, I finally made it back home. Obviously I didn't have much of a budget, but I did enjoy walking around all these stores to see the things that are there.
It always happens to me that when I visit places like this and see the nice materials there, I would like to buy a little bit of all those things, unfortunately there is not enough for everything so I bought the things I thought I would need.
Tras un par de horas recorriendo varias tiendas, finalmente volví a casa. Evidentemente no tenía demasiado presupuesto, pero sí disfruté pasear por todas estas tiendas para ver las cosas que hay.
Siempre me pasa que cuando visito lugares así y veo los bonitos materiales que hay, me gustaría comprarse un poquito de todas esas cosas, lamentablemente no alcanza para todo así que me compré las cosas que pensé que necesitaría.
