History of the Jaguar E-Type

The E-Type was introduced at the 1961 Geneva Motor Show. An immediate success... Enzo Ferrari was even rumoured to have told "the most beautiful car ever made". The model was produced between 1961 and 1975 in three series with technological improvements learned in racing from the D-Type.

This 1974 example was restored at the perfection for a client... Already sold, but on the E-Type UK website, there is still a red Series 3 at sale for £190,000 if you're interested.

Initially, the E-Type Series 3 has an 5.3 litres V12 engine with Stromberg carburetors but E-Type UK upgraded it with 6.1 litres with a custom downdraft fuel-injection system producing 284 hp.

Inside, the E-Type is fitted with the last technologies : air conditioning, heated leather seats, iPod and Bluetooth connectivity and the more important a red start button.
