To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Bitcoin's genesis block on January 9th 2019 the exchange BitMEX ran an ad in the british newspaper The Times cover: Thanks, Satoshi. We owe you one. Happy 10th birthday Bitcoin. In the bottom line, smaller, the hash of the first block of the Bitcoin's blockchain.
The campaign was also announced in the company's Twitter @BitMEXResearch and in the midst of so many congratulations from prestigious people it called attention and was reported in Coinspeaker, CCN and Financial Times.
The choice for the newspaper was not by chance, after all it was the headline of The Times in January 9th 2009 - Chancellor on brink of second bailout for banks - that Satoshi included in the first transaction with bitcoins in history. As noticed in this Bitcoinist's post, 10 years later the headline is about another financial crisis: Bitcoin genesis block 10th anniversary sees identical debt headlines. An intriguing thing is that Satoshi probably wrote some hidden easter eggs citing the same The Time's headline in other parts of the code. At leas it's what the TNW website reported: Someone just found a 10-year-old Bitcoin Easter egg.

As a 10 years anniversary only happens once it's never too late to celebrate. Let's play the music video above and shake our bodies and hardware wallets! In the past October Bitcoin also commemorated the 10th birthday of the white paper announcement by Satoshi. And reading the enlightening A peer-to-peer electronic cash system document again never hurts. I used this action figure image bellow in my celebration post (in portuguese), it represents a tokusatsu hero - National Kid - created in Japan and also aired in Brazilian TV becaming somewhat popular here in the last century. The "N" in the logo reminds Nakamoto to me :-)
