Whenever my friends and I go out for dinner, we will usually, after dinner, look for a watering hole to down a pint or two.
On this particular dinner, the restaurant we went to was near the Clark Quay. So, after dinner, we had a stroll along the quay to see what was there. It was a Sunday evening.
The place was not as busy as on Fridays and Saturdays, but there were still a few people around. Some bars were very busy and noisy, while some were practically empty.
We strolled twice around the area before settling on McGettigan’s Irish Sports Bar. There were a few customers, but not many. So, they were not too noisy nor were they totally dead.
We didn’t stay very long. We had a pint of beer each, while we chatted, and then we called it a night.
The set up of the place is quite unique, and it looks very cosy. There is also enough space for private conversations. Here are some photos of the place.
Here's a lounge area with walls of made of logs.
This section of the lounge looks very comfortable and has a wall of books.
McGettigan’s is open daily for lunch, dinner and drinks.
