Años más tarde, en el año 2010, encontré en una tienda de videojuegos el Flight Simulator 2002, el cual compré e instalé apenas llegué a casa. A comparación de la demo de Flight Simulator X que había jugado antes (en la cual el contenido era bastante limitado por ser una demo), en esta versión del 2002 había bastantes aeronaves a elegir, entre ellas el Cessna 172, Beechcraft Baron 58, Learjet 45 y los Boeing 737, 777 y el gigantesco 747 por mencionar los que recuerdo; también se podía elegir desde que aeropuerto despegar, la carga del avión, combustible, estación de acuerdo a la fecha, hora y condición climática. En ese momento me lo tomé más en serio al jugar en el simulador, aunque me seguía resultando difícil, ya conseguía aterrizar los aviones. Cuando inicias un vuelo con este mod, te añade sonidos que simulan que tienes pasajeros, auxiliares de vuelo y copiloto en el avión.
