The Workman / Temple Family Homestead Museum
A Day with the Family
Inspiration @dtube
Hello Steemians and Dtibians,
This afternoon I went to a historical Museum with my Niece Julie, her two boys Nathan and Issac and my other Niece Courtney's two girls Jessica and Jessel. It was a very fun day indeed. We got everyone away from the "Electronics" and took them on a magical trip into a small piece of #history of #california.
We got there a little early of the tour to visit the little lake/pond on the property to go and see the #coy #fish before we started the tour through a trip into the past. The kids were very excited because they had never been to a place like this and they were very curious to see how people lived in the old days. This homestead was established in 1840 and went through many different hands of family members due to economy crashes and bad financial decisions.
The kids really loved the Coy Fish though. They wanted to go back to the fish right after the tour. I guess that was the highlight of the trip for them ... LoL!!!
When we first entered we saw the sign that told us a little history of the Homestead Museum.
My nephew Issacc was Snacking away through the whole tour... Hahaha... And his cousin Jessica kept feeding it to him.
Up the path from the Coy Fish Pond, we all walked to get ready for the tour.
Then entering into the gates of the Property we Go Go Go Go...
On through the house and a trip into history. What an amazing story but a very unhappy story at times. We all have struggled in our life and they had the same struggles in the past as we do today. After running through the house we entered into a courtyard and down a grapevine path where the kids ran wild... lol...
And then back to the Coy Fish Pond down near the Homestead Cemetery. While they were visiting the fish, I took a stroll over to the gravesites to pay my respects for the spirits of the people who once owned the land for allowing us to tour their home and have a nice, pleasant trip.
It was a very peaceful, cool wind, nice day with everyone and the best part was that the kids had an amazing time, learned something new and got away from the electronics. They weren't bored. They listened well to instructions of not to touch anything and was really curious by asking questions about what they were seeing. This is a blessing to educate the children and help them to always be happy and have fun.
Peace and Godspeed everyone. May every journey to take become a successful journey and carry on for generations to come. Remember to love tour self because you deserve it. You are a miracle of life and if you're going to prosper in anything. Prosper in #peace, #happiness, and #love first always.
Thank you always to my beautiful fiance @vanjaavedal, our two amazing children David and Angeles and all of my family from around the world in #norway, #thailand (@stewsak), in #mexico, and the #usa.
