@steem-ua: Announcements, Partnerships and Exciting News!
At @steem-ua things move fast: that's an understatement even! Merely 9 days after publishing our Intro Post, we have now (at the time of writing this Post) acquired 589 delegators, together delegating 355562.59 SP, and currently ~ 1/3rd of those delegated SPs come from accounts delegating 25 SP, 50 SP, 100 SP, 250 SP, 500 SP, 1000 SP or 2500 SP. That type of community engagement to a brand new Steem Project is never been seen before, on the steem Blockchain. @steem-ua is already the #3 most delegated-to account in terms of number of delegators and we are growing very quickly. In the past 7 days, @steem-ua has casted 1438 upvotes to 475 different accounts, and in total we posted 2105 comments, most of them SmartComments, providing insights regarding the curated posts and trying to "coach" people on how to improve even further, when applicable.
And > 99% of the replies we have received on our upvotes, posts and comments are HAPPY REPLIES! Or as @meno chose to summarize the first week of @steem-ua in this post of his:
Everyone is excited and all for it, or it seems to be that way in the very least. In the seven days it has existed, its already broken some records in delegations. The best part is that it's a bunch of little accounts delegating to it, and that to me is a very good sign.
It means, at least in theory that the little accounts, the tiny minnows are having hope, are drinking the much needed hopium, and god knows that is precisely what it takes to change the attitude of the community.
Hopium ... Please take a moment or two to let that word sink in...
The @steem-ua Discord Server: Organizing the @steem-ua Community in Close Collaboration with @helpie
When you're growing at the pace @steem-ua does, you need help. And precisely what my friend and colleague @holger80 and myself (@scipio) were hoping for, has happened: not only does @steem-ua get help in terms of many small and quite some large SP Delegators, but also in terms of Community Management the Community Support is amazing! The same @meno I was just refering to also happens to manage a Discord and Steem Helper Community called @helpie. After getting invited in their own Discord, where I quickly explained what @steem-ua is about, unanimously the @helpie Community Managers offered to help-ie @steem-ua with organizing our own Discord!
In there, @meno was granted the Discord Role of [UA Organizer] and within minutes people met, created a spot for themselves, assign the appropriate roles, and get things going: like welcoming @steem-ua newcomers, helping out with proper administation, explaining UA Votes casted, providing FAQ's, and of course... having fun together! Once again: Amazing! And a Big Big Thank You @helpie!
UA Scouts and UA Guides: An idea I got after talking to @hanshotfirst
The past few days I have been in direct contact with literaly HUNDREDS of people, many of which I never talked to before launching @steem-ua. One of these people is @hanshotfirst. In a few very interesting conversations he mentioned this idea to me:
The minnows who are not discovered are the ones that need the help, not ones that are discovered by individuals or curation projects.
What @hanshotfirst is refering to, of course, is our Algorithmic Curation Formula ...
UA_Vote = x * UA_Account + y * UA_Post + z * UA_Comment
... which, in essence, means:
- the higher your own account's UA score, and
- the better the votes on your post, computed by all post voters' UA scores, and
- the more interaction on your post via the comments
... the more powerful our upvote to your post!
But how about new Steemians? People with absolute no idea how Steemit) works. Who to contact? Where to begin? How to earn something? Exactly those people are clueless, most of the times. How can @steem-ua, which uses Algorithmic Curation independent of the amount delegated, on any topic, in any language, help those people?
Enter UA Scouts & UA Guides
Suddenly, I had another idea: how about assigning some of the @Helpies the role of UA Scout and UA Guide? A UA Scout is now assigned the task of discovering / scouting "New Steem Talent": valid new accounts, posting pretty good content, trying to find their way, earning pennies or less, not having heard of @steem-ua, yet. The UA Scouts will upvote them, therewith tick
the @steem-ua Algorithmic Curation Bot with the newly discovered / scouted accounts / posts, ans @steem-ua will curate & upvote those new accounts anyway, despite them not being (small) SP Delegators still. We'll leave a SmartComment, introducing "The @steem-ua Movement", invite them over to our Discord where the UA Guides welcome them, and guide / coach them to grow their account. Maybe this way, new accounts will not give up on Steem, maybe this way user retention can grow: HOPIUM!
Thx @hanshotfirst for providing insights leading to this idea! And again, thx @helpie for enabling the @steem-ua movement to improve on every single iteration!
High-SP Sponsor Rewards Program
Those who invest, deserve ROI.
The many "small" Delegators @steem-ua has, get their ROI in terms of Algorithmic Curation Upvotes, using UA data, and those upvotes are independent to the delegated SP (only the frequency of the upvotes increases with more SP delegation, up to max. 7 upvotes per week). But how about high-SP POWER investors that have co-driven @steem-ua to where it is now already? How to reward those people, like @neoxian, @cryptoctopus, @stellabelle, @rival (who has delegated almost everything he owns for believing in @steem-ua), and many more. How do you do that, when you're @steem-ua, been live for 9 days, have close to zero liquidity, and far more SP delegators than the current HF19 allows for to set as beneficiaries.
Have a look at @utopian.stats/utopian-pay-2018-8-16
This is - for those unaware of it - the Utopian payment system built to reward Utopian Moderators and Community Managers. And of course, I know: some of you don't like comment voting. But that system was thought of by someone I know pretty well at a time when @Utopian-io faced the same problem of being new and fast growing, as a necessary means to simply reward hard-working people (at @utopian-io, the moderators and Community Managers). @steem-ua will use the same mechanism to provide ROI to our high-SP Delegators.
Over the past hours:
- we've created the account @steem-ua.pay,
- contacted all our high-SP Sponsors (a few of which have declined their ROI, for the sole purpose of supporting @steem-ua without any ROI),
- we will weekly generate a report post,
- on which our high-SP Sponsors will be rewarded via auto-generated comments on their behalf,
- those comments will be voted on by @steem-ua based on the proportional stake of each high-SP Sponsor,
- which can be done either by authorizing @steem-ua.pay to generate the Sponsor Comments with the posting-auth of their original (or alt) account,
- or we will create an alt account for them like
neoxian-ua.pay
and hand over the active key to claim rewards.
Because of full transparency, I'm explaining this to the public herewith. If you are a high-SP Sponsor, and have not yet replied to me (@scipio) with your preferred option (alt account or posting-auth), please seek contact with my colleague @holger80 via our Discord so we can set you up.
One more additional note: as it has been promised early on, 2 exceptions will be made to enter the high-SP Sponsor Rewards Program despite delegating less than 5,000 SP delegations:
- @zoef, delegating now 2215 SP, and went "all in" to support @steem-ua, and
- @mindtrap, delegating now 2500 SP.
These promises were made "early on", like waaaaaay back earlier in @steem-ua time, like 1 week ago, maybe 8 days even ;-) . No other high-SP Delegator has veto'd their entry. (PS, they could combined have formed 1 new account delegating, so I consider this a non-issue as well, but in case of full transparency, I've hereby explained.)
