Hello friends Stееmians! Today I will tell you about great place we run away when the heat in Lviv is 30 degrees or more!
This place is located in Ukraine at a distance of 20 km from the city of Lviv in the village Yasnyska.
There is no river and no sea in our city, so we need to look for a body of water nearby. Among all the reservoirs around city the sandy quarry in the village Yasnyska is the most beautiful.
There are three things that appeal to people there: white clear sand, turquoise water and pine wood!
We get there by bus number 144, which travels very infrequently and is always crowded with people, and then we catch cars, which do not always want to stop!
But there are still friendly people who drive us up and here we are finally in a dreamy paradise!
We are immediately immersed in the smell of pine and flowers, and my feet are immersed in the sand! The kids here have a good time! They make sand castles, and dig burrows in white, like platinum sand!
But the locals do not like to swim here! They are scared! They say: many people have drowned here! It is believed that there are underground sand bends. When there is a collapse of sand under water and the person pulls down, as if in a funnel and then it can sink. People say that even then an experienced swimmer will not be saved! I don't know if this is true, but my love for this place wins and I go and swim. And my kids swim.
I took some pictures from the internet so you can see the magnitude of this place from aerial view. You can see that the quarry has several lakes, and between them there are sandy roads on which cars go.
The coastline is 12 km away. Average depth is 10 - 25 m, maximum is 70 m. I was first here about 30 years ago. Now some of these lakes look natural. Water comes from underground sources. And anytime this place can become a resting place of world importance. But this will happen when no sand is extracted in the quarry. So far, bathing is officially prohibited in the places where the sand is mined.
And here comes the evening and the sun goes down into the forest! This is a great time here because the water is very warm and the pictures are magical. You can enjoy our photos!
