Azalea park is just around the corner from my daughter's house in Summerville, and when I first suggested we check it out there was a bit of squeaking that went something like "I've been there a few times already mooommm, borrinnggg mommmm"-but I finally got my way,

and when we arrived a look came over her face... "Errr, the flowers weren't in bloom when I came," she admitted with some chagrin.
Of course I didn't say "See, you should always listen to me."
(I totally did say that :)

With cool little statues, man made ponds,

a tennis court,

and pretty pretty flowers everywhere,

this free park is definitely worth the visit!

(On her very first date when she arrived in the Charleston area, she brought the boy here-- and shamed him into jumping onto this little island with her. She has a motto that goes something like "Don't take the paved path, walk on the grass, grab every adventure you can!"

That's my girl!

"I'm a comin', slow your roll!"

"Stop and smell the flowers?"

"Heck no, move your buttocks!"

"But they're so prett..."

"NO!"

Oooh, what are they looking at?

This? No...

Oooh, a turtle!

Hey lil dude.

Anddd we're moving again

Do you have to stop for everything?
