As said in a previous post I was planning to hike up the Mount Ninderry here on the Sunshine Coast in Australia.
Yesterday morning I decided to do so. I tried to be there before it gets really hot, but it turned out to make absolutely no difference at what time you go cause you gonna sweat anyway. :)
Wie in einem vorherigen Post gesagt, hatte ich vor, den Mount Ninderry hier an der Sunshine Coast in Australien zu erklimmen.
Gestern morgen habe ich mich dazu entschlossen. Ich habe versucht dort zu sein, bevor es wirklich heiß wird. Aber es stellte sich heraus, dass es absolut egal ist, wann man geht denn man schwitzt sowieso. :)
Mt Ninderry is a Bushland Conservation Reserve and covers approximately 150 hectar. The summit is at 304m above sea level. While this is not really high, it was still quite exhausting to hike to the summit.
Mt Ninderry ist ein Bushland Conservation Reserve und umfasst etwa 150 Hektar. Der Gipfel liegt auf 304m über dem Meeresspiegel. Das ist zwar nicht wirklich hoch, aber es war trotzdem ziemlich anstrengend, auf den Gipfel zu steigen.
The walk started quite easy on a normal gravel road through a shady forest, but soon turned into a pretty steep rocky climb. After about 15min walk I sweated like hell and about 5 min later I had the first view through the trees.
Die Wanderung begann leicht über eine normale Schotterstraße durch einen schattigen Wald, verwandelte sich jedoch bald in einen ziemlich steilen felsigen Anstieg. Nach etwa 15min Fußmarsch schwitzte ich wie die Hölle und nach 5 Minuten hatte ich den ersten Blick durch die Bäume.

On the summit you have two Lookouts, the eastern one and the western one. I first walked to the back of the summit to have a view into the hinterland, the Western Lookout. You should always exercise caution on the cliff edges.
Although there were a view clouds the view was still fantastic.
Auf dem Gipfel gibt es zwei Lookouts, den östlichen und den westlichen. Ich ging zuerst zum hinteren Teil des Gipfels, um einen Blick ins Hinterland, den Western Lookout zu werfen. An den Steilkanten sollte man immer vorsichtig sein.
Obwohl es einige Wolken gab, war die Aussicht immer noch fantastisch.

From there it was only another 5 min walk to the eastern Lookout. From here I had a breathtaking view over Mount Coolum, the Ocean and the Maroochy River
I sat there and enjoyed the awesome view and the silence. I was the only one up there, what made it even better.
Von dort aus waren es nur noch 5 Minuten zu Fuß zum östlichen Aussichtspunkt. Von hier aus hatte ich einen atemberaubenden Blick auf den Mount Coolum, den Ozean und den Maroochy River.
Ich saß dort und genoss die tolle Aussicht und die Stille. Ich war der einzige da oben, was es noch besser machte.
It´s always fun to discover new places like this one here in Australia. Hope to find some new spots soon.
Es macht immer Spaß, neue Orte wie diesen hier in Australien zu entdecken. Ich hoffe, bald neue Spots zu finden.
