Food Sharing #88 - Lunch at Bojnický Dvor @ Bojnice, Slovakia with ...

Hi Everyone,

After our meal at Biograf Winebar and Restaurant at Bojnice, we wanted to try something traditional again so with our trusty app Foursquare, we found this little gem not far from the Bojnice Castle. After we parked our car, we walked past the zoo and found Bojnický Dvor easily which was around 1-2 minutes walk from there. There was music playing outside and many locals were there enjoying their meals. As we rang beforehand to reserve a table as we had a party of 7, we were given a table inside.

Let’s have a look at the menu. Luckily there was simple English which made ordering a breeze. We wanted to have the meals we don’t normally have or tried so there were plenty to choose from.

We ordered a dish each and decided to just pick a bit from each other to try. As a group we ordered bean soup, cabbage soup, duck leg, chicken Kuracie, beef goulash and kids cheese square with chips. For drinks we ordered a jug of homemade lemon soda (which we didn’t take picture of as it was like clear water)

The meal was just delicious!!! I was looking forward to the soup and it didn’t disappoint especially the bean soup. I can eat that every day! Every single dish seemed like a winner except for the cheese square thing which I wasn’t a fan of as I don’t eat a lot of cheese. The best part was the dishes were not very salty so it didn’t feel like I need to drink lots of water during and after the meal. The price of the meals were very reasonable considering the size we were getting. For example the soup is 3.5 Euro, we cannot get this quality and size in Sydney for $5.50AUD. There are plenty of seating indoors or if you prefer outside, you can but we didn’t see many large groups outside. Service was a bit slow but other than that, highly recommend this place.
