The counter of this food store caught my attention as I approached the Food Choices food court of Glorietta 4. The counter looked so presentable that I can equate to a hotel reception.
The menu was laid on the counter. My eyes went straight to the donburis and got curious what buta don was. I asked one of the crew about it and she said it is basically pork but the meat are strip cuts like bacon. I ordered for it.
While waiting for my order, I left my digital coaster on the counter instead going to look for a table. I took another shot of the counter from the other side. It looks very pleasant and presentable as it was when I first saw it from the other side.
I wondered when this store opened as this standup says so. I was just sure that it was not there when I last visited Glorietta several months ago.
When the digital coaster flashed, I went back to the counter where my order was waiting. I can smell the donburi. Yummm...
Before I evem started eating, I savored at the sight of the meal in front of me.
The pork strips were soft and tender. As always, it is what I look for in every meat dish. I dreaded the thought of bits and pieces in between my teeth.
I was not expecting the miso soup but then I realized that I should have. Almost all Japanese restaurants that I visited so far provides miso soup for free. I love the sour blend of it.
As usual, I got utensils for my meal as I can not use the chop sticks. I guess I really should start learning using them again.
It was a fun sight when I was done with my donburi. It was the sign of my happy tummy: clean bowl! 😊
