Choice of the Week: Tasty's Restaurant

The name says it all, nothing beats Tasty's Restaurant of a delicious Carribean meal. I've eaten at this restaurant numerous times and it is often busy during the lunch hour. The food is fresh, the price is right and the flavours are exotic.

The menu is extensive but I usually stick with the classic: Jerk Chicken, Rice and Peas(beans), and coleslaw. There is a 6.99 special and you get almost as much as if you order the 10 dollar regular size meal. I highly recommend the special and if you want an extra side just add it on.

It's the sandwich board with the specials that lours you in, but the taste that keeps you coming back. You can order food to be made and there is a counter with prepared food if you are in a rush. The staff are from the islands and the food is filled with wonderful spices.

The best part is that there are three types of homemade sauces to load up on. A tangy mild sauce which is great on coleslaw, a medium sauce, and a hot sauce made from scotch bonnet peppers that leaves a lingering taste in your mouth. As you can see from the photo below, I like it hot!

The only negative thing about this restaurant is they serve your food on styrofoam plates and have plastic cutlery. It is unsustainable and bad for the environment. I will talk to them about this in the future.
