Good Day to all the wonderful #steemit friends around the world.
Happy Sunday.
So here's what happened on the #homestead between the hours of Saturday 7pm and Sunday 12:10 am.
Having been out in the cold all afternoon finishing up the trimming of our Christmas tree, yes, our tree is on our covered deck outside, sits right in front of our French doors, so we can enjoy it inside also.
With it getting colder and darker we called it a day. So while the hubby stoked the fire, I proceeded to open a really nice bottle of red. We shared a toast and a hug, admired our tree.
With the warmth of the fire, I was defrosted enough to make up a nice dinner, tonight that was a loaded with veggies, turkey and swiss, pesto swiped on ciabatta bread panni.
YUM!
After having a few glasses wine and a great panni sandwich supper, @thebigsweed and I knew it was time to just sit down and relax. Ok let's watch a movie...punched up a Netflix original, got down in our respective easy chairs and proceeded to watch.
For like 10 minutes...between the wine, supper and a toasty fire going, it was lights out for both of us.
Good thing we have these awesome recliners to just veg out in.
Fast forward to 12:10 am
#beautifulsunday is here...hi @ace108, I'm back.
Waking up from our wine, food and fire coma, we were both in the mood to be adventurous, it was snowing, quiet and so pretty outside, we bundled up and went for a ride around the #farm.
We admired our work, satisfied our 2019 Christmas tree was to our likening.
I froze my hands off trying to figure out this mess...are you kidding me, ornament hooks...bah humbug!!!
After playing in the snow for an hour or so we called it quits, peeled off the layers and hit the sack.
Woke up a little later than usual, that's what happens when you become nocturnal. hehe
Peeked out the bedroom window...welcome to our #sublimesunday, can you dig it my friend @cOff33a.
Love seeing our bike tracks in that fresh snow.
I was so happy to see the sun, that I almost skipped coffee. Instead, we bundle up to sit in the sun, next to our tree, and enjoy our morning brew. Peaceful...
Reflecting on how blessed we are, my memory brought me back to last Sunday when our family celebrated Christmas at my son's house in New Jersey.
Lots of gift giving, great stuff, so appreciated.
But I had to LOL, you can spend lots of money on toys for little kids, but all you really need is bubble wrap. Here's my three y/o grand daughter Mya teaching her cousin, 22 month old Peyton the art of popping.
As is the case with my crew, a little rough housing always comes with the mayhem.
Check out fellow steemians @ryan313 with his daughter @ajbasketball3, I think Ava has him.π€
But @owenmaxj3, he's got his work cut out for him, just give him a few more years. Hang in there my favorite grandson.πOwen
Many thanks for our hosts today @ace108 and @cOff33a, blessings to you and your families.
It' already been a beautiful and sublime Sunday. Shoot, and it's not even 12 noon yet.π
Sending out hugs, love and laughter to all.
