After seeing many Steemians embark on their journey in search of gold (and @goldmatters daily), I have no idea what number this is!
But here I was, in the aisles of Target WITHOUT Ms. Goldfashioned. How dangerous:
No one around, I walked to the gold mining area. I was't surprised at this sight:
ONLY 1 LEFT?!?! There's a pullback in gold so this makes perfect sense. I snatched it up:
There were TONS of diamonds:
But thanks to this handy image from Mene, we know why:
I turned the corner in hopes of finding more gold, but to my dismay GOLD PANNING KITS WERE SOLD OUT TOO:
I rushed home to start mining, as everyone who bought gold at Target was definitely blogging about it (hey look @goldmatters was here)
I plopped it on the table and out spilled my utensils:
I tried using the rock solid hammer they provided:
NO LUCK. I decided to kick it up a notch:
NOT EVEN A SCRATCH:
These things are indestructible. I had to resort to a method I knew would definitely work- the special water technique:
Well it's not really special. I just rinsed it under water for 10 seconds and squished it with my hand:
GOLD GOLD GOLD:
Darn. But hey, I got some nice looking obsidian!
At least Ms. Goldfashioned was striking it big, sending me this lovely pic of her Mene platinum heart knot ring on the way to work :)
Maybe I should have just bought through Goldmoney and Mene... but this was definitely worth the fun!!
Thanks for reading!
