Last weekend I finally had the chance to visit the famous MOCA (Museum of Contemporary Art) in Bangkok. If you have some time on your stay in Bangkok and a little interest in art, it's a perfect spot to spend a few hours and watch some incredible art works.
"MOCA BANGKOK has been purposely built to showcase and exhibit the exceptional works of art collected over the past three decades by Boonchai Bencharongkul, whose passion for art runs deep. The museum is also intended as a tangible sign ofappreciation for the many great favours bestowed upon the Thai people by our beloved monarch, King Rama IX, and is dedicated to the honour of Professor Silpa Bhirasri, the “Father of Contemporary Art” in Thailand."
In the entire space are over 800 works selected from Boonchai Bencharongkul’s private collection exhibited in the 20,000 square metres of well – lit white space.

On this report I want to guide you through all 5 floor of the buildings and show your some of the phenomenal art works around the museum.

"The 3rd floor displays highly imaginative artworks and fantastic pieces of Thai contemporary art. Included are works of several artists such as Sompop Budtarad, Chuang Moolpinit, Somphong Adulyasarapan and Prateep Kochabua"

4th Floor
"On the 4th floor are several kinds of artworks fashioned by one of Thailand’s most noted philosophers and artists, Thawan Duchanee, who was awarded National Artist in Painting in 2001. Included are numerous oil on canvas paintings, drawings, carved wood pieces, and weapons crafted by this highly individual and creative talent."

I stayed forabout 2.5 hours in the gallery and absolutely enjoyed walking around, enjoy the work and take some pictures. You really don't even have to be a huge fan of art to enjoy this stunning works.
I hope you enjoyed this little tour with me through the museum :)
Best,
Chris
