Son una extraña especie que suele habitar en lagos, especielamente los que están cerca de la Ciudad de México.
Ellos prefieren estos lagos porque tienen agua muy fresca y vegetación abundante. Eso los hace vivir!
The axolotl is an amphibian in danger of extinction.
They are a strange species that usually inhabit lakes, especially those near Mexico City.
They prefer these lakes because they have very fresh water and abundant vegetation. That makes them live!

Este raro amiguito nunca se vuelve adulto (Aparentemente), siempre tiene aspecto larvario; se pudiera decir que toda su vida sigue siendo un bebé!!!

Si, la lista roja de la UICN (Unión Internacional para la Conservación de la Naturaleza) ha catalogado al Ajolote como una especie en peligro de extinción.

Su hábitat se ha visto muy afectado por la contaminación.
Han sido capturados para ser comercializados y para ser usados como alimento.

Afortunadamente existe un parque donde le dan especial protección y trato a esta especie, el parque ecológico de Xochimilco en México.

En la actualidad existen más de 5000 especies en peligro de extinción, la mayoría de ellas producto de la contaminación.

Este dibujo lo he realizado en honor a esta hermosa especie, he usado lápiz de grafito, marcador negro y azul, y lápices de colores rosa y amarillo.
