“Then block it out. What I feel is my own business.”“Of course I worry! We all do, we can feel how you are suffering.”
“Sam, we have to let your family know what is happening. Perhaps they can help you.”

I stood up, angry. “I do not need anybody’s help. You must not tell them.”
That night I got drunk, very drunk and when they asked me what was wrong, I told them the truth.
“So what Sam? Maybe the Lady would allow her to come with us to her world.”
“She is my wife.”
“Who? Jasmine?”
“Lady Meli.”
Very gently, Harvey said, “That does not make sense. Samuel, you better explain yourself.”
With tears in my eyes I stood up, leant forward with my knuckles on the table and saying, “What does not make sense is that I did this to myself.” I walked away. They quickly paid and rushing after me they followed at a small distance until I found a small park and sat on a bench. They did not come closer, only watching over me so that no harm comes my way. When I got home and sprawled over the bed they took my shoes off and let me sleep.
“We will not ask you to explain yourself Samuel, but we do think you owe us an explanation.”
My head hurt and my heart was heavy with the bitter taste of my knowledge, but I thought carefully what I can say and what I should not.
“I am not one of you. I am one of them, those of Lady Meli. This person you know as Samuel does not really exist, I created him for my amusement and my real self is blocked, hidden from me. My real self is married to the Lady Meli. That is all I can tell you.”
Shida said, “You are like a dream person made up by another?” I nodded.
Harvey grasped my hand. “No Samuel, whatever the truth of that may be, you are also a real person. You think, you love and you hurt. That is as real is it gets. What if you refuse to return, what of the other, then?”
“I do not have the right to do that Harvey. My soul belongs to him, he has only lent me his body and mind, it would not be right to steal them. When our time here has ended, I do not have to return to the world of Meli, with a word, I imagine, they can release the original owner. Anyway, he is married to the Lady and she loves him, I cannot hurt her.”
He squeezed my hand. “You will always be real to me Samuel.”
Shida sounded bitter. “Gods playing with human hearts, they do not have the right!”
“Perhaps they will let me see the truth before the end and I will understand. If they do not Shida, if I only remain as a memory of a game he played, he will have no pleasure from my memories.”
Sweet Petra, she was a flower that blossomed over the weeks, her heart and mind aflame with everything she learnt. She was my one true pleasure. If I am only a game piece, not truly a man, a human being, at least my existence has served to better the life of one sweet soul.
Aleka came to visit. I wondered why the others left, but she sat and talked with me, told me of her life and the pleasure Petra has brought to it.
“Samuel, she is worried about you. She wants me to check that you are well.”
“Are you going to use my healer to do that?” I asked with a wry twist to my lips. She smiled, but her eyes did not.
“No. What ails you is not for any healer. What is wrong?”
“Nothing I won’t get over…”
“Is it Jasmine? She told me what you said to her.”
3822
“Aleka, I have grown to admire and love you, but I must ask that you do not interfere. I am not free to speak on this.”
“But you are free to hurt Jasmine?” She saw my look. “You did not know she loves you?”
I went to the window and stood with my back to her, refusing, unable to speak another word. “You have just over a year Samuel, give her some good memories before you leave.” She left me alone to the tears I could now set free.
Despite what Aleka said, the other two agreed with me that it would be worse for Jasmine to have had a year of love. This way her love for me will be brief and fade away to a dreamlike memory. To give her memories of being loved will only leave her with pain for a longer time.
Summer came and went and in November Alki phoned to let me know he has struck a deal with the government and now they will be able to help street children. He asked that we take it slowly, as he has only rented one home which can take about eight kids. He gave me the phone number of the person in charge, someone called Tasso. We called and asked to inspect the premises. He politely offered to show us whenever we wish, so we went immediately.
I was pleased to find that the house is in a good suburb. Tasso showed us the house which was more than adequate and took us to see the local government school. “Mr Georgiades has told the school he will pay for extra lessons to help the children catch up.”
“Might I make a suggestion Tasso? None or very few of the children are likely to be under eight. It will be difficult for them to catch up. Soon as we have eight or more children, do you think the school would agree to form a special class for our children? That way they are all beginning together and will not be made to feel that they are not as good as the others. As they catch up, they can be moved to a normal class. That could provide the motivation for them to study hard, as they will not like being in a special class.”
“I’ll see what I can do Shida. How soon can we expect the first children?”
“Soon.” Harvey replied, and he did not press for a more definite answer.
I was glad that Tasso did not mention the first name of Mr Georgiades as they would have recognised it, but my pleasure was short lived. There was an article about it in the newspapers and they gave his first name. We had a meeting with Aleka and Petra late that night as Aleka had been very busy with a family, both parents and three children, who had been in a bad car accident.
“I would like Petra to go to the school, but I do not want her to leave me. Can she stay with me and still go to the school? Can you ask Mr. Alki please?”
“Who!?” Both of them asked together.
“Yes, it is him. He is not the same one we know.”
“He is the one you have been having secret meetings with?”
“Yes.”
“Why did you have to keep it a secret from us?”
I scratched my head and grinned. “I’m not certain. He told me I had to keep it a secret.”
“Well, I want to meet him.”
“I’m certain he will call and invite us.”
“He is watching us?”
“Yes. He is watching me.”
“He told you about Lady Meli being your wife?”
“Yes.”
“Wife!? You are married Samuel?”
3823
“Not really Aleka.”
“Not really? Either you are or you are not!”
“Okay, I’m married.”
I saw the dislike for me in her eyes and tried to pretend it did not matter, but then I saw how Petra was looking at me and I could not pretend I do not care.
“Do not be angry, he did not lie Aleka.”
She did not accept that as an excuse. I took the hand of Petra. “I did not want to hurt your friend Petra. Please believe me.”
“Why didn’t you tell her you were married then?”
I looked at the others helplessly. Harvey said to Shida, “Go get Angelo and Smaragda.”
“That is my story Aleka. That is why all of us have two hearts and a sack next to our lungs.”
“That is why we all have healers.” Harvey added.
“And you are not really Samuel?” Aleka asked.
Harvey replied with force. “He is Samuel. Only for a while, but while he is, he is Samuel and is real. He loves Jasmine, but cannot be with her because he only has a year left to live.”
Petra began to cry and when I tried to put my arm around her she threw herself against Aleka. Smaragda wanted to know about Jasmine, as we had not told them. Aleka explained. I saw Smaragda could sense my pain, but was surprised when Anna threw herself into my arms crying.
“I don’t want you to die.”
“I won’t die Anna mou. Think of me as a dream the real Samuel is having, and when he wakes up I will still be there inside his mind and I’ll have my memories of all of you and I will love everyone of you forever.” I found a grin for her. “There you are, how does it feel to have been loved by a dream?”
Aleka shook her head. “This is madness. I feel like phoning them to tell them I must be locked up at Dafni (the local mental asylum).” She pulled herself together and faced me. “You must not let Jasmine know. It would be better she thinks you do not love her than have her grieve.”
Shida said, “It would be a lie. She should know Samuel loves her, it is special to be loved by a man like him.”
“A lie might be kinder Shida.” Harvey said, surprising me.
Petra pulled away from Aleka and wiped her nose on her sleeve. “It would not. I love him and I know, why shouldn’t she? I would hate not to know.”
Aleka made an effort. “And how do you think she will react to the knowledge that she loves a man from another world who is not even real, Petra mou?”
Petra ignored the question and pleaded, “She loves you Sam, you must tell her.”
I pulled a face. “I’m sorry, but I find it difficult to believe she loves me. Why would she?”
Petra knelt before me and leant on my thighs, her face reflecting the sweetest sorrow that can break a heart. “She does Sam. So do I. I was jealous of her when she told me she loves you, but she is a good person and you should make her happy, tell her you love her.”
I took her face in my hands and kissed her softly. “No Petra. It is better this way.”
3824
The next street girl came to us, we did not go to find her. Writing from hindsight I can explain what happened. A man heard many stories about this woman who cures the sick and dying for free. He knew that little Sera is his best girl, her large eyes and petite body make her his most popular girl and she earns him good money. With her he can charge a higher rate and though eleven, she looks more like nine years old. He expected to make money from her for many years and since she also pleasured him whenever he felt the need, he had woven her into his fantasies of how his future extended.
Through an introduction a john was sent to him. The man looked like a clerk, small and mild, but he had money and was obviously excited by Sera. The man smiled at her and whispered that this one will be easy since he is so small. Sera had long since learnt to smile back when he smiles at her, but her heart was fluttering, for she had looked into the eyes of her next customer and seen how cold they were.
When Sera did not come back, the man went up to the room the customer had taken her to and found her there, badly battered and bleeding. He took her to the old doctor who handles his girls for a few drinks and accepted he will have to let her rest for a few days so that her appearance does not upset the customers. Losing income from her for a week made him mean and violent with the other girls, pushing them to stay longer on the streets to bring in extra cash.
Instead of getting better, Sera was worsening and he realised she is dying. Her stomach had bloated to the point where he had to acknowledge there is something very wrong. She told him that the customer had violently forced something into her and hurt her inside.
He brought her to the office with dire warnings that soon as she is cured she must run away from the home they put her in and return to him, then he rushed away before anyone could identify him. The nurse who saw Sera promptly phoned Aleka and she was carried over to her home immediately.
When Petra saw her she cried out and rushed to the side of the little girl. Weeping she tenderly held her while Aleka sent our healers to repair the damage. One of the healers was mine and it reported afterwards that apart from the physical damage inside her, sepsis had set in and her bloating was from organs inside her that had become putrid.
Soon as Sera was asleep, Petra ran over to find me and she begged me to save her little friend from the man who owns her. Seeing Sera in the condition she had arrived in had finally broken the fear in her and she told me about the man, where he lives and who he uses when he has trouble with the law to take care of his problems. It turned out that two of them are policemen who take a share of the money and have free use of the girls. She told us where the other girls can be found when not working.
We wanted to rush over and beat the man - if we’d had swords I think we would have planned to kill him. What stopped me was the involvement of the policemen. Something warned me this could blow up in our faces, so I first called Alki. Soon as he was free he called and told me he will be meeting me with an officer he trusts. I insisted he bring the officer to Aleka so that he can meet the girls.
We were impressed when we saw that the officer is the Chief of Police. He had another officer with him, the commanding officer for our area. Sera did not want to talk, she pleaded to be allowed to leave, but Petra comforted and encouraged her to talk, telling her I will protect her. The officers listened to the girls and Sera told Petra what her last customer had done to her. The Chief must have a very soft heart, for he looked sickened.
“We have to do this correctly, I do not want the policemen to escape. We must have absolutely irrefutable proof of their involvement.”
Petra told them that the policemen use two of the girls every Monday afternoon. They took details and planned surveillance of the girls until Monday, when they will make their move. We were promised that the building where Aleka lives will be kept under surveillance twenty four hours a day so that if the man came for Sera they will stop him.
We decided we will spend our days and nights in her flat and brought over some clothes and hygiene items. We spent most of our time hidden in one of the bedrooms playing cards with the girls, so as not to interfere with Aleka’s work. It did not take us long to fall in love with little Sera. Fear has taught her to always be sweet and pleasant and her little girl ways (she tends to act like a six year old) endeared her to us. At my request, Aleka took her with her to see how she heals so that we can talk.
I told the others that the very qualities that make us love Sera are the results of her fear and that we have to encourage her to assert herself. Petra listened without speaking, until Shida asked her for her opinion.
3825
“Sam is right, but it is also how Sera is. I remember when she first came to us we all loved her because she was so sweet. Even Pavlos did not treat her very badly like he does all the new girls, because she did whatever he said without fighting or complaining. She would go and sit next to him or on his lap as if he was her father and he was gentle with her. I think he must be very cross with the man who hurt her.”
“I hope he knows who that man is, I’m not interested in taking him to the police. This one we take care of ourselves Samuel.”
I nodded, my throat dry. I knew Shida meant we have to kill him and it will be the first time I have ever murdered a man. It is different killing a man in the heat of battle. I could see the others felt the same way, but we were determined not to allow this man to ever hurt another child. None of us trust the courts of this world, we have heard of too many criminals who escaped punishment because of expensive attorneys saving them on technicalities.
Since she did not know what was happening, Jasmine turned up for her lesson. The doorbell rang and I opened, with the other two behind me just in case. The two of us stared at each other in shock. Clumsily I stepped aside for her to enter. Petra ran over, pulling Sera with her and seeing my face she quickly began to talk. Jasmine went with her to the kitchen where they usually do their lessons.
Shida asked, “Are you alright Samuel?”
“Why shouldn’t I be?” I forced myself to smile.
Jasmine had arrived at nine in the evening and the lesson usually lasts for two hours. Half an hour before the lesson should have ended we heard a noise. With my eyes I gestured for Harvey to check they are alright. He opened the door slightly, looked in and muttered an oath as a man’s voice ordered him to enter.
“We should both go in, three of us have a better chance.” Shida whispered.
“Do not attack him, I will handle him.” I softly ordered, and we opened the door and entered.
Pavlos had Sera and Petra by him, his gun pointed at Harvey. Jasmine, standing, was disobeying and about to go to the girls to get them back.
“Jasmine, stay where you are.” I ordered. I stepped to her and pulled her by the shoulder. “You must be Pavlos, put down your gun, we are not interested in fighting you. We only want the name of the customer who hurt Sera and then you can leave - alone. The girls are staying here.”
As I was speaking I ordered my healer to block the flow of blood to his brain until he fell unconscious. Reluctantly it obeyed and he swayed, wiped his hand over his eyes and then collapsed. I stepped to him and took his gun. I sat next to him, the gun in my hands, waiting for him to awaken.
Harvey asked, “How did you do that?”
“I used my healer.” Aleka came in and immediately went to the girls. “Aleka, take the ladies with you please, we will handle him.”
“Should I call the police?”
“No.”
Pavlos came to and groggily sat up. I waited for him to see the gun in my hand. “I asked you for the name of the customer who hurt Sera.”
“I don’t know. They don’t tell me their names.”
“It was the first time you had seen him?”
“Yes.”
“Then someone you know must have vouched for him. Give me his name.”
“He was sent to me by a barman.”
3826
“His name and where he works.”
He told us. “Are you going to call the police?”
“Pavlo, the girls are going to a home for street children, forget about them. Do not try to find them or else we will come after you. You may leave.”
“You know that the children run away from those homes. Both my girls will come back to me, they know I do not treat them badly like other men do.”
“They will not run away from this home. Before I change my mind and call the police you better go. One moment, before you do, let me show you just how dangerous I am.” Casually I handed him back his gun. As he took it, I had the healer stop his heart. Soon as he recovered from that I had his throat close up so that he could not breathe. By the time I was done with him he was terrified of me. “I can do this to you from here, while you sit in your home. Do not cross me again Pavlo.” Almost servile in his manner he swore he would not and quickly left when I told him to go.
“That was worse than beating him up! How did you know you could do that?”
“I didn’t Harvey, but I did not see why I should not be able to.”
“I would never have thought of it. He is far more afraid of you than if we had hit him. Why did you let him go?”
Shida had called back the ladies and I could see they were also wondering.
“I did not want to spoil the surprise the police are preparing for him.”
Petra said to Sera, a possessive pride in her voice, as if I belonged to her. “You see, I told you Samuel would protect us.” I gave an embarrassed grin.
“How did you make him faint? What did you mean you used your healer?”
“Jasmina mou, the gift of healing is not mine, it is theirs. They do not want the world to know about them, so I pretend it is me healing the sick.”
I stared at Aleka in dismay, but then realised she could not have done otherwise, I had forced the issue when taking care of Pavlo. I sat at the kitchen table. “Petra love, can I have a coffee? I think I’ll be needing it.”
Harvey laughed. “Jasmine, he looks more afraid of you than he did of that man with his gun.”
“Funny, ha-ha! Why don’t the two of you take a walk?”
“No chance of that Samuel, I want to see this.” He sat down and Shida joined him, grinning, but his eyes sympathetic.
Jasmine listened to our fantastic story, put her ear to the chest of Shida to hear the two hearts. Only when she had adjusted to the fact that we are not from this world did I explain about myself.
“You made me a part of your game!? You tried to make me love you just for fun!”
“No Jasmine, I did not. The other Samuel does not control me, I feel real, I am Samuel for now. My feelings are real.”
“He is hurting Jasmine, please do not be angry with him.” Petra pleaded.
They talked to her for a while and she came to terms with the truth. “We should talk alone then.”
“Whatever you want Jasmine.”
We agreed to meet the next morning in the coffee shop. Jasmine left and I wondered whether she will be able to sleep. The truth had been a shock and I was certain hundreds of questions will occur to her during the night.
Sera came to me and she looked me in the eyes as she stood next to me. “Thank you Samuel, you are a nice man.”
3827
“May I?” I picked her up, swinging her legs over and sat her on my lap. I held her tightly to me and closed my eyes, tears escaping. “God but I am going to miss all of you.”
Her hand came to my face, touching a tear. “Do they fuck little girls on your world?”
In shock I stared down at her. “No.”
“Take me with you please. Petra also.”
“Oh Sera! I can’t, I won’t exist there.” As I wept I saw tears in the eyes of Harvey and Shida and Aleka left the room. Sobbing Petra threw herself onto us and held both of us tightly.
I was in the coffee shop as soon as it opened and sat alone with my thoughts and fears. What would Jasmine say; does she hate me now? Have I hurt her?
“I thought I was going to have to wait for you.”
“I could not sleep so I came early.”
“Me too.”
Politely we took care of ordering coffees and she took out a packet of cigarettes and lit one.
“I didn’t know you smoke.”
“I started last night.”
“Does it help, could I try one?”
“The first one will make you feel sick.” She laughed, ready to become hysterical. “I forgot, you have a healer.”
“It will probably be angry with me for smoking and make me suffer.” I smiled to show her I was not being serious. I did not like the taste, but did not put it out.
“I don’t know what to say Samuel.”
“I have the same problem. Do you have questions?”
“None that matter.”
“You may ask me anything you want. If I cannot answer, I will say so.”
“You find it difficult to lie, don’t you?”
I nodded. “Yes. That may be why it would be better you don’t ask me if I love you.”
“Do you?”
“I did not know I could love so much.”
“Was that hard to say?”
“Yes. Very. Jasmine, I did not want to say it because I feared I would only cause you more pain.”
“Would your wife, Meli, feel you were being unfaithful to her?”
“She is not my wife Jasmine.”
“Good, I don’t care if she does, I want you to love me Samuel.”
“Time spent together will only make you suffer more later.”
“You are being stupid Samuel. It would hurt me more to know I could have had this time with you and I was too afraid to do so. Are you afraid for yourself?”
3828
“I am terrified Jasmine. When he takes over his body again, I do not think I will die. I think I will be a part of him, just memories as far as he is concerned. Every time he loves his Meli, my heart will ache for you.” I laughed, the pain too strong to hide. “I won’t even have a heart Jasmine.”
“You will Samuel. The heart you are speaking of, it is not in your chest, it is in what and who you are.”
“Are all females so wise? Even Petra is wiser than I am.”
“She worships you Samuel. Do you love her?”
“Yes. She is very special.”
“Would you rather spend your time here loving her? I won’t make it difficult for you Samuel.”
I was shocked. “She is just a child Jasmine!”
She shook her head. “No. To the rest of the world she may be, but we both know it is not true for her anymore. She needs to feel a good man can love her.”
“What are you saying? You want me to love her instead of you?”
“What I want is for you to love me only Samuel, but you don’t. You also love her and she needs you. If you were a normal man I would fight for a life with you, but you will not be here forever, so I will share you with her if you both want it. At least we will both have memories to share when you are gone and you will have the memories of two loves to keep you happy when you are part of…” She silently began to weep.
“I had not thought of her that way Jasmine. I thought of her more like a daughter or younger sister.”
“That is not what she needs.”
I saw that she meant it. She was determined to share me with Petra! “I want some time alone with you first.”
She nodded. “A week. We tell her first Samuel, then she will not suffer.”
I was puzzled. “This is not according to the customs of your people. How is it you can do this?”
“We both fell in love with a very special man Samuel. Our customs are not important. Love is.”
Yes, love is. The most important thing in the world. I had a sense of the sacrifice she was making, of the difficulty she will have in adjusting to what her big heart demands of her, and it made my love for her grow. I told her so.
She gave me a determined smile. “The decision Petra made, to let us love each other without her, that was braver.”
“Do you love her Jasmine?”
“The little street girl, the ex prostitute?” She asked, quoting my words back at me. “Yes I do Samuel. It is strange to me, even stranger than my willingness to share you with her.”
“Harvey was wrong. There is a lot of good in this world.” We decided Jasmine will tell Petra. I asked her to also tell Aleka. She smiled and called me a coward, which I readily admitted.
It seems that things have a way of getting very complicated once a male gets involved with females. Jasmine talked to Petra who cried, protested she would only be in the way and so on. Jasmine convinced her we both want her, while Aleka sat listening with a set face. Jasmine told Petra we will both have to live with her in her own flat. Sera then pleaded to come with. Petra surprised Jasmine by saying she wants her with. Aleka got up in what they thought was anger and left the apartment. She came to me in the coffee shop where I sat waiting for Jasmine.
“You are taking away my little girl.”
3829
I had no answer to that and waited for her to speak with anger. She sighed. “Now Petra wants Sera to live with you also. Is that right Samuel?”
“No! She is a child. Petra is also a child, but Jasmine says it will not matter, she is old enough and needs to be loved. Sera is too young!”
She looked at me strangely. “I did not mean it that way Samuel. Petra thinks of her as her little sister. You may have misunderstood, but at least you were shocked. I was not worried about that, what I want to know is, how will the police handle it?”
“I don’t know. I better ask Alki.”
“You are a strange man Samuel. Everyone who meets you loves you. It is a gift, you know.”
I took her hand and kissed it. She blushed. “Aleka, so much good has happened to us because we met you.”
Alki wanted to know what will happen to the girls after I’ve left.
“I think they want to live together as a family with Aleka. She is good for them Alki.”
“Your friends will be envious of you. Two women Samuel!? Are you going to be as bad as your Robert?”
“What do you mean?”
“He has over forty wives.” He stared at me as the blood drained from my face from shock. “I shouldn’t have said that! I forgot how you jump to conclusions.”
“Did I jump to a conclusion Alki? Am I wrong?”
“You must not let them know.”
“That they are his wives? They’d kill me if I said so.”
“Only one of them is his wife.”
“That must be Shida. He is very gentle.”
He laughed, but refused to explain. I tried to imagine Harvey being anybody’s wife but could not, so I let those thoughts go. As Alki said, I cannot let either of them know.
I carried my things in and Jasmine made room in a cupboard for my clothes. I looked around. “Your apartment is lovely Jas. I find it very restful.”
She laughed. “You are not supposed to like it Samuel. It would be considered too feminine for most men.”
“Well, I like it.”
We stared at each other, both suddenly nervous. She gave a small smile. “Are you as frightened as I am?”
“Probably more. I’ve never been with a woman before. I’m not certain I know how to behave.”
“You don’t have to worry about that Samuel. Or were you talking about the sex?”
“Both I suppose.”
“Samuel, I have had a lover, does it bother you?”
“Is it supposed to, according to your culture?” She laughed. “Does it bother you that I’ve never been with a woman?”
She giggled and blushed as she teased me. “Every woman dreams of making love to a virgin.”
3830
A thought crossed my mind and I frowned. “Jas, I must not give you a child.”
She came into my arms. “You would not want a child that came of our love?”
“It would not be right Jas. A child should have a father and mother.”
She leant back to look at me. “When you leave, would it not help knowing you have a child? That a part of you still exists here?”
I almost felt it was cruel of her to give me such a dream, but I saw that she meant it. She wants my child! I could not bear the joy in me and she quickly pressed herself against me, murmuring, “Oh Sam.”
With many kisses and caresses Jas undressed me. She stood back and looked at me. “You don’t look real Samuel. You look like a photo model become real.”
“It is the healer Jas. It keeps me healthy.”
“Mmm. That must be why you smell so nice.”
She took my hand and led me into the bedroom. She made me sit on the bed and slowly she undressed herself. I have seen the advertisements, but it still surprised me to see all the clothing she had to take off. She stood before me in the nude.
“Do you like what you see?”
She was gentle with me, explaining and teaching me how to make love. I had not imagined such pleasure from my penis and the feeling of her soft skin against mine. When it was over I took my time examining her and learning all the tastes and scents of her body. Before I knew it, we were making love again and I stopped to look at her face.
“Jasmine, I feel as if I am finally where I belong.”
When we made love a third time I sent my healer into her to ensure I am not harming her and it re-energised her with the result that we made love another two times. When she finally snuggled up to me and closed her eyes, I took the hint and calmed my body and fervent imagination to give her time to sleep.
As the sounds of traffic outside grew she stretched and opening her eyes smiled at me. “Don’t you ever sleep?”
“I could not. I was enjoying the feeling of you against me too much. Jasmine, did you mean it about having a child? You can care for it without me?”
“Yes. I did mean it Samuel. She will be loved by all of us.”
“I’m glad. Jasmine, my healer says you are pregnant.”
My first thought had been to rush over to my friends and tell them, but Jasmine soon set me right on that. When our happiness turned to sex again, she was like a wild animal and I feared she would hurt herself. Afterwards she lay with her head on my chest, drawing circles with her finger on my stomach. She laughed as my penis came to attention again.
“Are you going to be like this every night? Samuel, I don’t think I can last for long if we make love so often every night.”
“Why? Will it hurt you or the baby?”
“I won’t be hurt Samuel. We only have to be careful about the baby when it grows bigger. I meant most people don’t, can’t make love this often.”
“Will it damage us?”
She had a giggling fit. “It is just as well we decided to bring in Petra!”
I hope you enjoy reading this story of fantasy, adventure and love - and should some of it be true for our reality, I hope you will love our Cherine.
