This statue of James Wolfe (2 January 1727 – 13 September 1759) is on the top of Observation hill in Greenwich Wolfe was also known as The Hero of Quebec depending on who's side you were on at the time. Deep dive
James Wolfe
He was quite a character and achieved fast promotion up the ranks of the British Army.

This photograph below shows Wolfe holding a telescope which is appropriate considering where this statue is. Greenwich Royal Observatory

The interesting thing about this inscription below is that it was unveiled in 1930 by the Marquis de Montcalm the descendant of the Marquis de Montcalm who Wolfe defeated in the battle of Quebec.

And now we must leave Wolfe to look out over London. I wonder if the people sitting below his statue have any idea who he was or what he did?
If you are looking for a new photographic challenge to get you out and about then give this #sevendaysoutside task a try. I saw this idea on my friend @melinda010100 page and thought I'd give it a try myself. Remember to use the sevendayoutside tag and @erikah in your posts.
