Hi Steem Friends
I hope the weekend is going good for and you are having a good time with your family and friends.
First of all a big thanks to @anomadsoul and @blocktrades for RoadToSteemFest contests and giving the opportunity to share thoughts about this great event for all the steemians. This is my submission post for the topic Fears.
I have seen lots of steemfest posts by steemians sharing their fears about the event.
Steemfest event is just 10 days away from now and level of excitement is on top. Basically this amazing event is just too close and these days will just fly off. Going to the event itself is great and just imagine that we can see the great people whom I see here in steemit through their publications or videos. This is 6 days event from 6th November till 10th Nov 2019 will bring a world of steem knowledge, opportunity to know further plans, get to know many people and learn from them while sharing our thoughts as well.
The topic for this contest is "Fear" and its quite obvious that many of us would have some fears and I am going to share mine here-
I have not even completed a year with the steem platform and know very few people and also not sure if they are going to visit. I know there would be many like me but initiating the first interaction is not easy I think but once it happens then things might be easy. Feeling alone might make me feel bad and I have to find someone whom I can talk to and get some idea about Bangkok and everything about event as well. I understand that the event is planned in such a way that this would not be happening most probably as there will be lots of engagement activities that will help to connect with people over there.
I am scared of air travel and always too scared when the plane is taking off and landing. I even starts praying in case of turbulence so hope in this travel such things don't happen. I always look at other's faces when I get scared in the plane to see how they are reacting. Bangkok is not so far from India and non-stop travel is for about 5 hours which is not so long.
I never traveled alone before so somewhere in the mind, I have a thought that how will I manage things there. Though I have gone through the complete details provided in the steemfest website and hope it will be helpful. I hope that I will be able to manage transportation routes to visit Bangkok without missing out on anything.
Another fear which I have is that since I am not an expert in blockchain so understanding the technical knowledge may be tough for me. I want to understand and learn as much as possible but I know my technical capabilities so this could be a challenge for me there and one of the fears that I have. However, I will try to make notes of the information as much as possible so that later I can go through it again but not sure how physible it would be. I wish that I can make someone a friend who can help me to overcome this fear. I never attended this kind of event before so have no idea how it will be and a little nervous about the arrangements.
Aside to these fears, I am quite excited about the event and visiting Bangkok is fun ofcourse. So far things are good for me and look like I will be able to attend the event. I can do all the arrangement in a day because of the easy visa process which is available vis on arrival. This is going to be my first ever travel or event trip which I am going to attend along and that too its about having a few conferences over there.
I have taken these hotel photos from the steemfest website and who would not want to experience this beauty. This property is looking so good and staying in this will be a lifetime experience.
Overall this trip is going to be a mix of fun, learning, Knowledge, some fears-more fun, etc. I believe fears are fears unless we face them but once we face and get out of it then its fun and makes us more confident.
I would like to thank @rolandp and entire steemfest team for their great work that they are doing to make the event a grand and memorable for all steemians while making it affordable through various tie-ups for travel, accommodation and even SF ticket cost, etc. The team is doing so much hard work so that attendees get everything well planned.
