It's another week closer to the Steemfest in Poland, and another week of getting to know Steemians who are attending. @anomadsoul has been making us play with each other, by having us write every week before Steemfest happens. For this week @evecab and @llfarms helped Anomad by prompting an idea that we should write about three random facts about ourselves. So here goes nothing, I'm trying to tell you things that most you won't yet know of me.
You probably know that I come from the countryside in Finland, because I visit my homehome, my birth home, my parents home fairly often, and show you nature pictures from around there. But what most of you probably don't know, is that me being a farmers oldest offspring, I used to drive a tractor as my summer job for a few years. I was mostly ploughing the fields in the beginning of the summer, with a huge Valtra. My sleeping schedule has always been quite wacky, so that job, and bright summer nights in Finland, allowed me to work what ever time I wanted to. If it was a good summer day, I sunbathed and napped outside for the day, and spend the evening and night driving a tractor and listening to the radio.
For a second fact about me, I'm going to continue on the countryside life, and bit yesteryear type of thing. Some of you already know this because I have shared this before, but it's one of my favourites things to do with my hands and I'm very proud of my skills. I am really good at knitting wool socks! I knit mittens and other things here and there too, but I mostly love making wool socks. It gets very cold in Finland during the winter, and everyone wears wool socks, and you can never have enough of them! I've been wanting to make a pair of Steemit socks, but both the previous logo, which is the current Steem logo, and the new Steemit logo, are impossible to work into a knit pattern! Those curved shapes just cannot be done in a way that would look good, and I'm seriously bummed about that.
Random fact number three about me is that I hide money from myself. Once I had a friend over and she was browsing my bookcase, took out one book and upon opening it, found a 20€ bill. She asked if I was aware of it, and I said yes and no. I know I have cash hidden between some books, but I can't recall which ones. I hide it in other places too, and I think I need to dig some out because I need money for the London trip. If I could just remember where the bigger bills are, the coins are always on a little basket on the table. Adding an extra little facts about me, couple times I bought coins from @escapist because I needed money for the laundry machine, and I only had plastic money. Now I use cash all the time so the coins are adding up, I might actually need to take some to the bank because I don't think I will need 50 euros worth of laundry money in the near future.
And no, not gonna invite any of you over for a scavenger hunt to find all he money I have hidden from myself.
It was a bit hard to come up with things to tell you that I hadn't already shared, because I have shared so much of my life in the past year in here. But I hope you had at least a little chuckle while reading these ones.
