Where should I even start... Okay, I’m fairly new in steemit, I’ve been around only a little over 6months. With some basic math you can count that I wasn’t even around when sf2 happened. The story how I got sucked in has been told several time but let’s tell it again. Short version ofc, not like anyone has time to read my rambling.
In the end of last year my bff announced that she is going to resign from job where we both at that time worked. Of course there was the question what now? She showed me what was she doing and who was @eveuncovered, gave some information about cryptos. I had heard from cryptos before but wasn’t too into them. For me it was just magical internet money. And still is, but at least I know now a little better!
We talked about the platform and I got interested, but didn’t really know what should I blog about. Then @eveuncovered mentioned the rocket.chat. I used to hang in IRC back in the days before all the channels turned into graveyards and I had complained several times before how I missed chatting. I decided that it is worth of looking at least.
After a few weeks hanging in #general I got dragged into Dz and that was a closer of the deal for me. I was hooked. In the chat I got to know some steemians and I’ve in a few meet ups already. For me meeting people isn’t that hard, but if I can choose otherwise I will. But steemians seems to be different, at least the ones I’ve met. Yes, it is still awkward as hell to meet new people but I’ve find that we are kind of similar after all. Oddballs with interesting ways the handle and cope social situations.
When you spend a lot of your time to talk with strangers it is always exciting if you get the change to meet up them in a person, the reason why I’m taking part in sf3, I want to have faces and bodies to people I feel like I already can call as a friend.
At first I was kinda bummed that sf3 wasn’t in states, because I would loved to have excuse to visit, but now that I think, Poland is really cheap place to visit, at least for a Finn. And because of new job and life in general it is maybe better that I won’t be away from work like 2weeks.. Poland is somewhat near and trip won’t take too much effort.
And of course, I haven’t ever visited Poland so it is going to be nice to see it too! But now I have to stop rambling and focus to work, food doesn’t make it self. You can thank @anomadsoul for this ramble. Let’s see it there is part 2 coming up. Free writing on phone while sitting in metro is nice way to make moving from place to place bearable...
Cheers!
