Welcome to another edition of Look What I Found, where I present posts that I think are worth sharing. Once again, I am doing this as part of the Pay It Forward Curation Contest oeganized by @pifc. This week their focus is Neoxian City Silver Tribe.
Unlike other tribes that focus on a specific topic, such as music, science, or photography, @neoxian is quite general in its specifications. From what I understand, a post of any topic can bear the tag #neoxian, for which it can be rewarded with the NEOXAG token, if other bearers of it upvote the post.
This can have the benefit of additional rewards, which I can see how people don't want to miss out on. On the downside, since just about any steem post can also be a neoxian post, there is really no point behind the whole tribe. At least from the feed's aspect, it is almost identical as my main feed. However, I still keep tagging each one of my post with #neoxian, and so I think I should also curate some of their more underrated posts.
Halloween We Bare Bears - easy draw how to by @devyleona
Art is always something to be appreciated, especially good art. But teaching others how to create good art, is certainly something that needs to be shared more. For this reason, I urge you to visit @devyleona's how-to-draw post. Here she offers a step-by-step instruction on drawing a cute picture of three bears, dressed for Halloween. One of them is dressed as a vampire, the other one as a witch, and the third one as a pumpkin.
What? Are you serious??? No way that's a pumpkin! Okay, I know, this always tends to happen: some people just can't interpret the most obvious costumes. Sorry. Though the trick-or-treating couldn't have been without success, as the bear in the mystery costume is already busy sampling the goodies they got.
Rice Waster by @rokhani
Moving on from drawing to fiction writing, here is a little cautionary tale about a kid who, like so many of us at that age, was playing with his, throwing it around, and treating it without respect. @rokhani goes on to telling us the consequence of this behavior, and the interesting way how this child learned his lesson.
Please don't be turned away by the English version of the story. Quite apparently, it is not the author's first language. If you scroll down, you'll find the same story in their native language Bahasa, from Indonesia. Instead of highlighting the shortcoming of the translation, I want to recognize @rokhani for using an automated translator, so the English speaking community can also understand his story. And I'm sure, we'll only have to wait a few more years for translation bots to grow to a level, where they will sound not only 100% correct, but also poetic, maybe even humorous.
A SHOUT OUT to all SOUTH AFRICAN'S on the #STEEM NETWORK! by @steemsouthafrica
Finally, let me curate another curation-style post. It is for the newly organized South African team. While their reputation is still at 43, I can see how that won't be case for long. Right in this welcome post they are presenting a diversity of posts by a good number of steemians, including some smooth moves and comic comedy.
Go ahead and check out @steemsouthafrica, and if you happen to be South African (or even if you are connected to the place in any way) why don't you join? It's a new community, and I'm sure they are all about growing bigger and better.
That's it for today, but please stay tuned for next week's edition of Look What I Found! and Pay It Forward Curation Contest, and whichever tribe we'll be looking at.
