The Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Golden State Warriors in double overtime last night. It was a thrilling game. Curry was on fire, but KAT led the wolves to the hard fought win.
What is so interesting is that the referee made a bad call by missing a call near the end of the second overtime. Curry went down the floor and hit a wild game tying 3 with 0.5 seconds left.
On the inbounds pass, the Twolves player threw a wild and uncatchable pass. On the play KD fouled Towns. The ref called the foul and KAT hit the first free throw for the win. He missed the second one and time expired as it was being rebounded.
There were immediate walls of fixing and cheating against the ref by the Warriors. I thought that the officiating was poor, but the Warriors taunting was also very inappropriate. I’m sure this will lead to many people suggesting that the ref was paid off, since there is a precedent for cheating by an NBA ref. (Tim Donaghy)
