Ziggy is the mayor of the street where I work and he used to live at the shelter around the corner but visited a woman who used to make and sell clothes all the time until she considered herself adopted. A while later, she decided to open a pet food shop instead and named the new shop after him. He comes with them in the mornings and does his thing, going home at night. His owner says that they can't leave him at home or he would simply follow them. He is lying on my work counter demanding to be stroked.
At night, we have a different visitor; I don't know her actual name but I call her Hairy Fairy. She lives down the road but likes to visit us at night and talk to the customers and demand food if any is available. There's no good reason for this behaviour, she's a plump but friendly cat who seems to be bored at home.
The first time I saw her was in the dark in the courtyard behind the shop and I mistook her for Ziggy. In the light, she's smaller and darker but it's odd to have two very similar looking cats as visitors.
