Garden Updates - Experimenting Regrow.

It Rained Again!!

Hi everyone! Continuing from the previous garden post, this is another update to showcase the other plants I have in the garden. Today we are showing some Bougainvillea, Pumpkin, Money Plant and Bok Choi (a type of Chinese cabbage) that's been growing quite lovely lately.

The garden was not doing very well for the past few years, especially during my absence of overseas, no one really can take good care of my garden. When I came back, 50% of the original garden had gone, I rebuilt everything again after I came back, so far they are looking good, plus I have changed the garden bed more on planting edible plants than flowers, but we all know we still need flowers to attract the birds and bees for pollination, right!

Well, I haven't seen my Orange Bougainvillea flowered for a long few months now. I am very pleased to see so many of them blooming all at once because usually, I could just see one to two flowers at a time.

As for the Pink Bougainvillea, they have been surviving very well all these years, and I can constantly see they blooming almost every week. The tiny flower in the middle is so cute, often the Olive-backed Sunbird would feed on them whenever they have a nest in front of our car porch.

Remember the Pumpkin seed that sprouts from my previous post? It's growing slower than it supposed to be, but it's growing for sure. Just wanted to show the progress so far. I was actually trying to get close-up to that little tiny insect on the leaf, but I am using my Samsung phone's camera which is very hard to get a macro shot.

While I was adjusting trying to get a macro shot, the little fella actually walked away from me, I was laughing out loud!

This is called Money Plant, you can grow them in the soil, or just put them in a vase filled with water, they can grow both ways very well. When I came back, their leaves were very small, I have to replant them into different pots. They actually grow better under the shade rather than under the sunlight. Now the leaves are triple the size of what they used to be.

This is Bok Choi. I am trying to regrow the used veggies since we are consuming a lot of vegetables lately, so why not. This was put in a container with water for 2 days I think before I transfer it to the soil. Let's see if this Bok Choi can survive the test of time.

I just snap the photo of this from the kitchen, sorry for the quality of lighting, it's 2 am in the morning here. These are my ongoing experiments on all types of vegetable that we had today, they are growing fast. I'm still having difficulty regrowing carrots, they are stubborn!!
