Today, out of curiosity, I woke up early to try HIIT workout. I bet half of the world already knew about it, which for some is an effective workout while some would think of it as an exercise too good to be true. Well, I'm not here to prove whether it will work for me or to everyone else or not. Mainly because there are so many other factors that will affect your goal to loose weight, build muscles, or even improve your overall health.
Although there are claims or testimonials about how HIIT workout had improve one's health, which I also believe, doing a bit of workout is obviously much better than just lying on the couch.
So, what's HIIT? The expanded wording for it is High Intensity Interval Training, which basically say that a person will need to perform a workout that is intense or fast enough for you not to be able to speak clearly while doing it. Simply put it this way, if you do one count of jumping jacks which you would normally do in about a second, in HIIT you should be able to do 2 to 3 jumping jacks within the same duration of one second. By doing this, your heart will pump much faster and you will be grasping for air a lot, at least for my case.
That's why a normal HIIT will only last about 7 mins. But it looks like people are thinking that this duration isn't enough or they don't feel satisfied about it and so they developed this workout called Super HIIT.
I myself thought that a 7 minute workout isn't enough and so I went straight for the Super HIIT workout which should take about 15 minutes. Basically, double HIIT.
I underestimated it and even though I was able to complete the routine, I felt like I gradually slow down and loose intentisity 5 minutes after starting it. So basically, half of the, I'm already relaxing since I felt like my limbs and hip muscles are already aching, such a shame :D The Super HIIT routine that I did is this one below:

Anyway, this is just the beginning and even though this first session is a fail, I do think that I will be able to slowly progress and it won't take long until I can cope up with the routine.
Probably, after a month of consistently doing the HIIT workout, I will be able to prove if it's able to help me to trim down and if it will result to a healthier version of me.
Cheers everyone!
