It’s been a loooong time since I last made a proper rant, so it’s about time I let out some steam, while gathering Steem. See what I did there, I haz the smarts.
In a world of status symbols, fast cars and everyone and their mama branding themselves on social media, how are you so dump that you think you know someone by looking at their profile on Instagram or Steemit? Do you really think you know about their daily life, the money they have in their bank account and the struggles they have in life? Do you believe all the fake news too?
Go educate yourself on critical thinking you dumb fuck.
Do you really think you can know who is making money, how much of it and how they make it, by stalking their social media? Without personally and closely knowing a person, their whole history and living conditions, you know nothing, NOTHING!
And why do you care what some uses their money for? Why do you care about how someone else lives their life when it has zero effect on yours, unless you yourself make a point of getting involved in it? Even if you know someone and how they earn a living, why do you care how they choose to spend it?
No matter what someone else buys, it’s not anything away from you. Just like if they stop buying something, you are not gonna get that money. There is not a set sum of money in the world that could be equally divided between everyone. That is a utopia, look it up if you don’t know what it means, but just heads up, it doesn’t exist.
Why are you jealous to a person who is sporting the newest iPhone, Apple watch and Airpods to match, when the person is 30k in debt? Especially when you yourself have paid off your house and live comfortably with your Samsung smartphone from two years ago that works just as well for posting cat pictures on instagram? Why are you jealous to a person who bought a new car so they can take a job 100 kilometres away, with the money they inherited from their mother who they now miss every second of every day? Someone might have won a million euros in the lottery, but they are struggling with an illness that will completely cribble them in a few years, do you want that life? Stop making up stories about other people living a perfect life when you don’t know jack shit.
A real life example from myself on how I choose to use my money: instead of going once every 1,5 months to a hairdresser, like the average woman of my age, and spending around 100 euros every time, I’d much rather buy two pairs of designer heels and cut my hair myself. Then people look at me and wonder how the hell I can afford those shoes and I must clearly have a sugar daddy. Nobody will ever question your choice of going to a hairdresser, even if it costs more. It’s fucking ridiculous.
Spending money on what you value, whether it be a fancy car, getting massages every month, travelling or dining out every day, is your choice and your choice only. We all value different things and experiences, there is no reason to judge someone else or be jealous for what they use their money for. Even if they take a stack of their own money and set it on fire. It ain’t yours so stop thinking about it.
There are a few exceptions to judging someone’s spending habits, like buying humans if the human doesn’t want to be bought, paying for a hitman, and using money for nail extensions while your kids go to bed hungry. Other than something along those lines, you do you, and let others do themselves.
While other people’s spending habits and throwing stones at them keep you up at night, how I can make my life better for myself is what keeps me up at night. Which one do you think is happier?
Always keep a critical mind, and don’t believe people on the internet, not even me, who is often brutally honest. People brand themselves, either on purpose or accidentally, and a lot of it is fantasy. You are better off living your own miserable life than someone else’s.
In my opinion, being a jealous, salty asshole is one of the lowest forms of humans, I have zero respect for people like that. Scum.
Eve out.
