I used to spend a lot of time looking at this. This is an almost perfect example of what Florida used to look like before fire suppression became a practice. Vast, wide open canopy and a not too dense understory, so open you could ride a carriage through it.
It's fun to look at now, but when it was every day... Man.. It got old!
