Dear Diary: The Value Of Being Online

I remember many years ago when I have no access to the Internet and it was so boring especially in the days that I am really suffering and nothing that I can do but to sit around or watch TV, it was hard. So sometimes I would just sit stil and wait for the time I would get dialyzed and fortunately in those days I was still able and can do my hobby to entertain myself.

Now that I am online I am now using this kind of technology to keep my mind preoccupied so that I will not think about negative things that may harm my mental and physical state. So now at least I have something to comfort myself and make use of my time to be productive and earn for my medical and personal needs.

The Internet here in my country was slow at first. I remember that they were offering less than 512 Kbps. Then when my sister in law bought a usb type of modem I used it and since I do not know about it has to get a good signal, I went on enduring the slow loading of the web sites that I thought was normal.

Now the page loads fast, the ping latency is low, and the downloads are fast as well with the upload speed ridiculously faster. Now I can never be more contented than that and I think it will get more better until the most awaited Internet provider comes into the scene in our country and provide a cheaper alternative hopefully and let the people get the opportunity to be online because it had become an essential to life already.
