Commander Ethan Kane is NASA's best astronaut who loves his family more than anything. He is called out of retirement to fly one last ambitious mission on board 'Longshot' - The world's first, faster-than-light spacecraft.
On its maiden voyage, commander Kane is the sole astronaut on board the craft, and his dangerous mission is to fly to Mars and back in a matter of minutes. The craft arrives at an orbit near Mars as planned, but as Kane attempts to return to earth things take an unexpected and scary turn. Longshots engine malfunctions which has the effect of sending Kane hurtling further and further into space than anyone could ever imagine...
FTL is a great sci-fi short with stunning special effects and cgi. The acting is very good and the story is one of adventure, hope and courage.
