During the era of the roman empire a monk is highly suspicious of a new brother who has recently joined the monastery. He searches his room to find out more about this strange individual whom he doesn't trust. In his room he finds an auto-injecter and upon examining the strange object he accidentally injects a healing serum into his eye. The incident has the effect of making him immortal which he believes is a curse.
From that day forth he devotes his long life, which spans centuries and different eras, trying desperately to track down the mysterious stranger who he deems responsible for his terrible affliction and ultimately find a way to reverse the effects of his condition of immortality...
This is one of the best short films I have seen in while and at around 40 minutes it is longer than most short films. I found myself totally immersed in the story, which is original, intriguing and moving. A highly enjoyable and entertaining film, well worth watching!
