My Actifit Report Card: February 5 2019

I snapped this pic of my dashboard showing my gas mileage, a whopping 52.5 mpg! This is a Hyundai Elantra, Eco model, and not a hybrid. We looked at hybrids when shopping for this car, but the expense wasn't justified when we could this kind of mileage from this car.

Now I'm going to explain why car mileage and @actifit got together for this post.

In order for my car to run optimally it requires certain commitments from me. I use quality fuel. I keep the tires at the proper inflation and rotate them on schedule. I have the oil and filters changed at the proper interval. I use the ECO (economy) driving mode. And I practice good driving habits like obeying speed limits and using the cruise control. For all of this I'm rewarded with exceptional gas mileage and a car that will remain in good shape for some time.

How does this relate to actifit? Think of your body as a car. You want to put in good quality fuel (food). You want to perform regular maintenance (health check ups). And you want to have good performance habits (get exercise, drink plenty of water, warm up and cool down muscles when working out).

Keep your body maintained and healthy. There are no trade-ins, so you have to make this one last a life time.

And today's activity was almost all from dancing. For those of you read yesterday's post, I did teach the new dance "Dirt on My Boots" to the class today. I was very happy with the results. The class caught on well to it and seemed to like it. And I had more fun than I expected being the "teacher".
