Hi Steemers,
It has been announced that SmarTop/Bullfrog Spas/MotoConcepts/Honda rider Justin Brayton has gone through a complete medical exam on his knee following on from his crash during the 2019 Seattle Supercross. Brayton crashed as he jumped into an accident which unfolded in front of him and caused him to get caught in the rear wheel of one of the crashed bikes. The rider was bucked off the bike and was shot into the air and off the track where he landed heavily. The Alpinestars Mobile Medical Unit were on the scene instantly and the quickly took him away from the track where he was diagnosed with knee ligament damage.

The team whisked him away for a MRI in Charlotte, North Carolina to get exact details about the injury and it has revealed some damage to his ACL and also a tear to his MCL. This means Brayton will be in a knee brace for the next few weeks to take the strain off his knees and also be using crutches to help support them. The recovery plan is for Brayton to start back training with some light cycling and also some physio in a few weeks. Doctors have suggested that there will be a rest period of two to six weeks before he will get the clear to return to full activity.

This is a huge blow to the SmarTop/Bullfrog Spas/MotoConcepts/Honda team who have already drafted in Mike Alessi to cover for the already injured Vince Friese. The talk in the paddock is that the team are hopeful that Brayton will be back for the 2019 East Rutherford Supercross in late April which means the team need to find a rider quickly to stand in. I will update you as and when i find out who that will be.
