Today I had a full day. After a meeting in Munich I had to drive to a dinner near Cologne on the other side of Germany.
On the middle of the road, near Asschafenburg the turbo loader broke. I was thinking the decompression noise was coming from the truck I just overtook, but I've started losing speed and suddenly I was driving with 70kmh from 190kmh.
I knew exactly what happened, called my secretary to ask her to call someone to lift the car. She said that I can do everything myself as I have anything I need with me. I like my secretary, even if she tough she keeps the things going on. I called the ADAC, they brought me to the nearest approved service.
There they said that it will take some 2 days to fix it as they need to schedule the workers for it. But to my surprise, having a fairly new car, I got one other to continue my travel free of charge.
I called the secretary and she told me that everything is fine. I hate being stuck because of mechanical failures. Usually I try to have my cars in such a shape that they don't let me down, and they never did till day. I had one flat tire and some accidents but never such failures.
