Today's illustration is more of an exploration piece than a painting. As I have mentioned below, I have been painting on a new sketchbook since 3 days and have been trying to understand how to work with it. The only issue that I am having is the shine that I am getting on the surface once the paint is dried.
I am not sure if it's the Kuretake colors or the pages themselves but I would prefer if it didn't show up in some of them. I say so because once the painting is dry, it feel more like an oil painting than a watercolor one. I mean for some illustrations it has worked out for the best but for some like today's, I am not sure I liked it too much. Plus it is shiny only in some parts and has the regular watercolor texture in the others. More to test and see what's up and solve this issue, till then I leave you with this :)
