After walking in the Terminal 21 Shopping Mall quite a bit and having dinner there it was time to go to the opening drinks at #SteemFest. Went to the BTS station and the traffic on the road was heavy.

Fiddled with some cash and got my ticket.
挖了些现金，买了票。
I had checked Google Maps but it was my bad and didn’t realise the journey involving changing to a boat until I reached Ratchathewi station.
我已经检查过谷歌地图，但糟糕的是没看清楚，直到到达Ratchathewi车站才看到要改乘船继续。
Out of the station and I saw a “Hungry Nerd” but I am not hungry and I am trying to figure out if there is another way to Prince Palace Hotel other than by boat. Google Maps showed it’s possible to walk in less than 30 mintues. So, let’s go.
从车站出来，我看到了“Hungry Nerd” (“饥饿呆子”)，但我不饿，我想弄清楚是否不乘船前往酒店还有别的方法吗。谷歌地图显示，步行不到30分钟即可到达。 所以，走吧。
It was a bit of an adventure and although I saw the hotel from afar, I felt lost because it was dark in some streets and I had to learn to cross heavy traffic roads like the locals. Looking back, it was quite an unforgettable experience but we forgot to take pictures along the way. Even when we ended up in what looks like a dead end when there was a railway in front of us. Good thing Google Maps has street view and I manage to find a photo there:

After talking to a lady who I guess probably didn’t understand what we were asking much but pointed us across the railway, we saw her walked across and we followed and then continued following the journey on Google Maps where at one part walking through what looked like a closed market. Out at the other end, things were brighter and seems there were stalls selling fruits. Later, I checked Google Maps again and believe this is part of Bobe Market.
与一位女人谈了之后，我猜她也不太明白我们在问什么，但她指着铁路的对面，我们看到她走过去也跟随了，然后继续跟随谷歌地图的旅程。其中一部分走过看上去就像一关了的市场。传过去，情况更加光明，似乎有卖水果的摊位。后来，我再次查看谷歌地图，并发现这是Bobe Market的一部分。
Further down, I crossed the bridge where there were also fruit sellers.
再远一点，我过桥是也有人摆卖水果。
At the end of the bridge, we saw Prince Palace Hotel but it was still not near.
在桥的另一端，我见到了Prince Palace Hotel可是还不算近。
Finally, after about another 10 minutes walk, we came to our destination.
过了10分钟后，终于到达目的地。
Interesting, they have a Chinese name there.
感到意外的是还看到有中文名。
Took the elevator and went out at the 11th floor where the hotel lobby was.
搭电梯上去11楼的酒店大堂。
Finally, the registration desk where we picked up the bag and badge. I'm sure some of you have seen what others have shown in the bag so I won't bother showing. I wonder who I’ll recognise first.
最后，我们在登记处领取了个包包和名牌。我看你们中的一些人已经看到了其他人在包包里有什么所以我也不展示了。我在想我会先认得谁。
Going into pool area where the drinks are served.
进去泳池区。那里是提供饮料的地方。
After a long walk, the drink was welcome.
走了相当久有杯冷饮正好。
It was getting more crowded but my wife was tired after the long walk. So, we decided to go outside and find a seat.
更多人来了但太太走了这样久有点累。所以出去外面找个地方坐。
Turned out the first person I recognised was @fitinfun but that was before @arcange started the #proof-of-hug thing.
我认出的第一个人是@fitinfun，但这是在@arcange开始见证拥抱事情之前。
She helped me take a picture of @sg1 and I.
她帮我和@sg1拍了这张照片。
Sitting there, I saw some people including a joyful @joythewander but missed taking a picture but luckily that wasn’t the last time I’d see her.

We left quite early and decided to use the Grab app to get a ride and it was quite smooth getting a car that time.

The car came and then took us back to our hotel.
