Photography: Slowly getting into street photography

As usual, these two pictures were taken alongside @irial, using her Sony Alpha II and my Sony FE 85mm 1.8 lens. Those familiar with the streets of London will recognise this area as Regent Street/Piccadilly Circus (most probably Piccadilly Circus due to the massive digital billboards throwing ads at your face by the station).

With black and white added during post processing, I've slowly come to notice I have a strong enjoyment regarding the world of street photography. That's probably down to the fact that both @irial and photography have allowed me to exit my comfort zone a lot more and start really searching streets for composition and not caring what people think as I stare into a viewfinder.

I find capturing the streets incredibly engaging. Looking for moments that appear within a second and are gone forever; something I realised with another image I posted the other day, in which two unknown people walked into frame, adding a unique and excellent depth of field to the image that would otherwise be missing without them.

I'm getting increasingly excited to get out again and shoot more, especially with black and white. I have a few rolls of 35mm film to use up, so fortunately I'll have more authentic images that are by default in the format of black and white, without needing to add any post processing later on.
