One day in the last week of July, I received a mail with this return address.
七月的最后一个星期里的一天， 我收到这邮件后面有这回邮地址。。。。

That’s what inside. I was expecting this. The invitation card to the National Day Reception this year at the Istana. What I didn’t expect when I got the email invite was that I would be invited for the 2nd time in 2 years.
里面是这。我也在等这请帖。之前得到通知时是真的意料不到会两年里两次受邀到总统府国庆日接待会。
So, on the 12th of August this year, I drove to KK Hospital and parked there.
那在8月12日，我开车到竹脚医院停在那里。
Outside the carpark, there was a sign telling me where to go.
在停车场外，有指示我去哪里报到。
Then I went to register and get scanned by security.
然后我去登记后经过保安审查。
I boarded the bus and waited. It was still early and my friends at registering at Plaza Singapura.
上了车等。还早。我的朋友在狮城大廈报到。
Then the bus drove to the Istana and I took a few pictures after the bus enter the estate. There were swans in this photo and the next one.
然后车开了进总统府场地而我拍了些照片。这两张里看到天鹅。
Ah, I saw the familiar big tentage.
啊，看到那熟悉的大帐篷。额外
I got off the bus and saw the entrance to the big tentage.
我下车后看见大帐篷的入口。
Opposite the tentage is the Istana building. The sun was setting.
帐篷对面是总统府的建筑。太阳🌞在下落了。

I went into the tentage. There is air-conditioning inside.
我进了帐篷。里面有空调。
Just after the stairs on the left was the birthday cake like where I saw the one last year.
下了楼梯左边摆着生日蛋糕就更去年同一地方。
There were people but still not a big crowd as I was early so I could walk around to check out the food area.
还算不少人但也还没那么拥挤因为我算去得早。
Last year, it was catered from Orchard Hotel. This year it was Marina Mandarin.
去年提供餐饮的是乌节酒店而今年是滨华就店。
At the far end just like where it was last year, the stage was setup.
在帐篷另一端就跟去年一样设置了个台。
