It is another beautiful Sunday and I brought my nephews to Mt. Yangbew, the highest peak we have in our town which is just no more than 20 minutes hike from the road. That depends how fast or slow you are so it could take you more or less. What slows you down is the hike up but that's about it. The trail is easy to minimally hard.
I thought it was going to be muddy because of the past few days' rain but good thing it was not.
Fortunately, for the wild flowers and other plants, they needed the rain for them to bloom and grow.
Nature finds its way. There were plants and trees surviving in between and around rocks.
The landscape is just wonderful once you are at the top.
It is nice to see the surrounding ranges that surrounds La Trinidad. The nearest peak is Mt. Cabuyao in Sto. Tomas, Tuba, Benguet. I have been there and hiked there as well. It is a good day and you can see the mountains of Benguet as far as your eyes can see.
One of the main thing that appeals to hikers are the horses for rent. There were a few when we arrived but then more arrived later on.
We were not in the mood for riding horses this time so we just watched them and those who were riding them. There were more horses this time around than the last time we were here back in January of this year if I am not mistaken.
The kids played around a bit more before we decided to go home just when it was about to get too hot. There were no trees at the top but good thing there were shades set up.
