Greetings, Dear Curators
This time I come to bring you my entry to #openmic this week. I will play for you a Venezuelan waltz called Viajera Del Río. I want to thank @luzcypher, @meno, @pfunk, @curie and everyone who makes this wonderful contest possible.

por el malecón
extasiado me quedé
al ver una flor perfumando al río.
Era angelical
como el azahar
y corría y corría,
cruzando el horizonte
se perdía.
La quise tocar
la quise abrazar
quise amarla como a tí
-ni que fuera un mago
para contener
la fuerza del río-,
y se fue ocultando
y se fue marchando
luego desapareció,
pasaron los años
y el arcano tiempo
la alejó de mí,
por eso en mis sueños
cuando la recuerdo
triste voy al malecón,
para ver si el río
cambia la corriente
y vuelvo a ver mi flor.
This is a theme with a very special emotional charge. The lyrics narrates a man who, being on the boardwalk of the river, saw a wonderful flower that captivated him. The flower continued its course and never again could see it. Despite the strength of his love, he could not change the current of the river, however, he remains expectant, going to the boardwalk every day to see if one day his flower comes back.
This lyric is a metaphor of a real and harrowing story that the author of this subject suffered. The wife of Manuel Yánez (the composer), died drowned in the river, and he with his deep pain wrote this beautiful waltz in his honor.
The flute and the *cuatro *were recorded by me. For three weeks I have been preparing to play the *cuatro *correctly. This is a harmoniously complex theme, with somewhat uncomfortable positions for the accompanying instrument and which were quite a challenge for me, I have just started playing cuatro and I can say that working on that topic helped me a lot to improve my skills.
I will continue working to go forward little by little to make it habit for me to play all the instruments in my works.

Este es un tema con una carga emocional bastante especial. La letra narra a un hombre que estando en el malecón del río, vió una flor maravillosa que lo cautivó. La flor siguió su rumbo y nunca más pudo volver a verla. A pesar de la fuerza de su amor, no pudo cambiar la corriente del río, sin embargo, él se mantiene expectante, yendo al malecón todos los días a ver si algún día su flor vuelve.
Esta letra es una metáfora de una historia real y desgarradora que sufrió el autor de este tema. La esposa de Manuel Yánez (el compositor), falleció ahogada en el río, y él con su profundo dolor escribió este hermoso vals en su honor.
La flauta y el cuatro fueron grabadas por mí. Durante tres semanas he estado preparándome para tocar correctamente el cuatro. Este es un tema armónicamente complejo, con posiciones un tanto incómodas para el instrumento acompañante y que fueron todo un reto para mí, recién empiezo a tocar cuatro y puedo decir que trabajar ese tema me ayudó mucho a mejorar mis habilidades.
Seguiré trabajando para ir avanzando poco a poco para así hacer costumbre el yo tocar todos los instrumentos en mis trabajos.
