One photo every day: Emptiness in white (233/365)

Heyya!

The Benches in Snow
These benches.

I had an interesting photo "session" today.

After taking the boys home, I went off for a photo shoot hoping the skies wouldn't get too dark too soon. To my disappointment the sun still went down too early. Not phased with that I thought I might still get some shots using a higher ISO sensitivity setting. I could always turn the photos black and white.

When I finally got my camera out, I was stunned. I had forgotten the SD-card home.

"Hah!" I thought, "I'll take a spare card out of the bag and continue shooting!"

I had no memory cards in the bag. Turned out I had put them in my back pack the last time I was out with it, and that too was home.

The answer was already clear in my head, so I went and bought a new 64GB SDXC I card. If my camera doesn't support it I can always buy another, and also if I upgrade, I will already have an exceptionally good card for it.

When I tested it, I noticed I wouldn't be able to fill it in one session. I will probably never take over 2400 photos in a day.

Long story short, I took my camera and the new card to the harbour, and managed to shoot a slew of cool photos. The one attached on this post is taken at Pikku-Vesijärvi Park.

Because it was dark, and I had to use relatively high ISO settings, the photos had some static, so I turned most of them into monochrome to fight the grain.

So here you have it. :) Captivating benches in the snow. Emptiness in white.

I'll be back! See ya!
