Hi Steemit Friends,
I have shared previously many lanterns and lights I have found in Japan. I love lights, lamps and in particular Japanese lanterns. They have a special beauty with no words to describe them. The lanterns can be different colours, shape or size but each of them fit in the right place every time I see them in Japan.
This long oblong shaped lantern was taken from Itsukushima Shrine. The shrine is red all over and the lantern happened to have a nice red print of 3 petals. We visited during the day and the lanterns were still on nice and bright. The sun was shining but these lanterns can easily be seen.
If you look closely in the picture on the far left, there is also another light on inside the shrine which visitors cannot go into. It is an important place but the shrine takers make sure it is nice a bright for those visiting.
