"Jack, what the hell have you done?!" Commodore Johnathan Maxwell yelled as he stormed into Jack Steel's private quarters. Pacing back and forth, as Jack maintained his calm, the Commodore continued to repeat the exclamation as if speaking to himself. "I did what needed to be done! What should have been done long ago by our so-called leaders!" Jack responded with the utmost sense of confidence and determination. Maxwell stopped his nervous pacing and stared at the computer monitor.

Are you here to arrest me?!

What?! What are saying Jack; of course I'm not here to arrest you! You're my friend! But you could have told me that you were going to declassify the Project NextColony files!

I tried to tell you in many ways that I was not happy with all of this secrecy, and you know it!

We could have done this differently, Jack!

Sometimes in life, certain decisions have to be made alone. I would have done it whether you agreed or not. At least this way, you could have the choice to walk away without blame.

This isn't good, Jack! This is not good! This is pure mutiny! We have no idea what the repercussions will be.

I'm willing to face whatever consequences come my way!

Yes we! Did you think that I would turn on you? I have always been the first to agree with your outrage concerning this matter. The problem now, is I'm torn between my faith in you, and my loyalty to Admiral Curione.

Jack, all communications have been cut off from Genesis1 and 2. And what's worse, the entire fleet has moved from Genesis1 to Genesis2!

Do you think the Admiral is organizing a retaliation?

What else could this move mean?! He's the leader of the Genesis Project; he has a responsibility to maintain his command in the face of revolt.

What would you suggest we do, John?

Be patient, and await the next move. I've spoken with our colony members here on Genesis3, and after reading the Project NextColony files, they're on your side. Some are even calling you Admiral Steel! The distance between the main fleet and us makes our capture very difficult. You should ready yourself to leave the planet if necessary. We can't ask our men to go to war against the other colonies. The good news is that most of the other colonies have continued with their normal activities, and are not sending attack fleets our way.

Okay, I'll get myself ready. We'll head over to Genesis5 to see where the Chief stands on this issue. But first, I'll attempt to contact the other Starbases to determine what kind of support we have.

Good idea, I'll keep an eye on Genesis1 and 2, and continue to monitor the subspace chatter.
