Finally I finished my dress (except for pocket ... as always). Though I had to make some spontaneous and minor adjustments so that the dress fits to my body and my arm movement well, I'm grad that I have my summer dress now.
やっとできあがりました。途中自分の体型や腕の可動域に合わせて型紙やパーツを微調整したり、接着芯が厚くて何層かはいだりといった試行錯誤はあったものの無事出来上がってよかったです。
It looks like this on me. Its relaxed form is ideal for hot summer days with my daughter. And the black color didn't make the dress too formal thanks to the design. It's nicely casual dress for daily use :)
着るとこんな感じです。ゆったり涼しく足も開くので子どもを持ち上げたりしやすいです。心配していた黒い色もフォーマルになりすぎず日常で着れそうでよかったです。
The sewing book suggests the readers layering and wear it for spring and summer. Good idea. T-shirt and leggings with unique color or pattern may work. I try it in the autumn.
本に重ね着してもよいのではとあって、たしかに。夏は一枚で、春と秋は中にシャツを着ておもしろい色のレギンスをはいて着てもよさそうです。秋に試してみたいです。
By the way, it's ideal for traveling; it can be folded small, wrinkles are fine with linen and it dries quickly.
そうそう、小さく畳めて、麻だと多少のシワは気にならず、乾きもはやいので旅向きなのもうれしいです。
However ..... it doesn't have a pocket. My typical mistake. I haven't noticed until I finished sewing and wore it. I wish I could notice it when I cut out the fabric. It's away easier to attach a pocket earlier :( Ah ja that's sewing. I'll attach one at least on the right side soon.
とはいえ本当の完成ではなくて、ポケットがないことに完成してから気づいて、時間を見てポケットをつけようと思います。なんでこのポケットがない失敗をいつもするのだろう。裁断の時点で気づいていたら簡単につけられたのに・・・。
I made some notes on the book including the pocket as I like the pattern and I'll make it few more times in my life.
また作る時のためにポケットなど気づいたことを本にメモしておきました。
I'm happy to have life long patterns and would like to increase them time by time.
こうして人生を通じて使える型紙を増やしていけたらいいな。
