Firstly, the numbers: our total STEEM value is currently about 1396 STEEM, including 235 STEEM within Steem Engine and a total of 15203 tokens in play. This gives ONECENT an ABV of about 9.18 cents, a small increase from yesterday.
A few more financial matters I'd like to go through. Our voting SP is quite modest at 1160 SP plus 500 delegated to @onecent. In order to speed up our earnings I have decided to change strategy and focus on post rewards. Today we received the author reward for a post made by @map10k on our behalf a week ago. Instead of sending us the 3.786 STEEM we received 4 MAPX tokens. The MAPX program currently upvotes at 3.5 times the daily self-vote rate, so those tokens are far more useful than SP.
Employing the same thinking, I have swapped our 190 MAPR tokens for 190 MAPX tokens and staked those to receive even more valuable upvotes. They are both currently valued at 1 STEEM (although I see MAPX is rising) so it's a fair trade. I also delegated to SBI some days ago, so that our SP and our tokens are working harder to bring in more income. This will obviously take a few days to manifest but hope the difference will be tangible.
These are financial considerations that every Steemian should review every so often. So much is said about passive income sources that it can be easy to overlook that posting can be the most lucrative source of earnings. One reason for creating MAPX was to give bloggers an additional boost beyond vote-buying.
Oh yeah, and the MAPR token was launched today!
Now, to some prizes!
Although ONECENT is not in any way an upvote service, it struck me as a nice addition to the game to give some random upvotes. I shall give one 10% vote per day to a random account that appears on the first page of the transactions list on the Steem Engine Block Explorer.
That random player will also be added to our automatic-voter. The upvotes won't be so high as to make them significant compared to the ONECENT token price.
